Did I miss some important note on when companion upgrade books will be sold? I've almost got 4 lvl 60s now... would be sort of nice to upgrade my lvl 15 companions.

a) can you name a company that's not trying to make money?

b) If they were really THAT greedy, then they wouldn't allow you to make AD in game.....ala SWTOR.

I agree. This is a free to play game, so if it were anything for free, then what will they earn just doing a game?

I just cannot believe you people are this ignorant... you all work for PW in their cover up department or something? I have no problem shelling out a few bucks. I have a problem with the way and the amount they try to soak you for though. I'm not asking for FREE I'm asking for fair and enjoyable pricing which the way this game currently operates is not. If you can't see that... there is something wrong with the way your brain works... go apply for a 27% interest credit card max it out and have a blast.

No where in this entire thread have you said this. You just claimed they were greedy when you found out you would have to pay.

If you want to talk about the prices in general, then yea, they could stand to lower it.

If you are talking about the Companion upgrade books, as your title states, the we don't know what the price is yet.

When Cryptic makes enough real money from the ZEN shop companions, not before. Fact. And look at the books costing Millions in astral diamonds.
There is no worse feeling in the world than the moment during an argument you realize you are wrong.

It is completely naive and frankly ridiculous to expect Cryptic to make a game that was not trying to be profitable. These developers do this for a living and they have families. Shouldn't they be rewarded for their hard work? They also JUST came out of beta. Most games don't start releasing expansive content until they are officially launched, as in this case.

This game offers wayyy more for free than most games out there. Enjoy it. :)

Yeah I pretty much figured that was the way it was going to be.... but was a bit shocked when I read how blatantly PW flaunts what a HAMSTER companion you now have.... for obvious reasons.... and still gives no actual release date....

Yeah, I sort of figured that it would be a money grabbing scam after looking at the mount upgrade prices. I was hoping it wouldn't be but in reality... well, you know I'm just dreaming about reasonable pricing.... that ain't gonna happen..

I read the entire thread, but your OP was the one I chose to respond to. Every F2P game has people that call companies greedy for trying to turn a profit on a product where paying is optional.
