You've got 100k AD built up. You've got the generic cleric companion maxed out. Buy Phoera for 80k AD? Or something else? NOT spending $20+ for a single toon companion. So the choices lie therein.

can probably get a green ioun stone for that, or nearly? I dunno, have not priced on in a while, but I would skip the phoera its useless for anything except cool looking.

Uhm... no. At least not on beholder. Maybe the prices on Dragon or Mindflayer are different, but I can see them being anywhere near 100K.

Green quality ioun stone costs 1000 bars. At an average of 10 bars a box that's over $100 (Of course you'd get more stuff than the stone though.) One on the AH for 500K AD though. At that cost though, you might as well save up a little more AD and get the blue one.

Hmmm? To be quite honest i am not very fond of the Fire bird pet. I got one from a lockbox, Leveled it up to 30 and it just is not very good. Hits for around 20-45 damage to any mob around it and seems to do a big hit every now and then for around 240-300 damage. He also seems to ironically fall down a lot of holes and pits, getting lost in certain maps?

I guess it is alright, I kinda waited until level 60 to level it up. Was expecting more considering it is a purple pet and was kinda let down when i maxed it out. The pet may be good on a lower to mid level character, but for lvl 60 dungeons the fire bird is kinda lacking power. It dies a lot and does low damage, but looks really cool.

Ultimately it is up to you and your play style. If you like the idea of a fire bird hovering around you go for it. Just do not expect it to be a heavy striker or anything.

I would save for the stone/cat.. strikers - in my experience - are not worth the money. They are simply not working properly, so, instead of wasting money on a companion you most likely wont be very with, rather save for one that really boosts your progression. the cleric is alright as it does its job well. i got the phoera and i have to say, i prefered using cleric non the less. now i got a cat and its a huge improvement.
