Recently, this dungeon was "fixed," and when I say "fixed," I mean that the final boss, and the mobs, can no longer be tossed off the edge of the platform, or through the hole that used to be in the middle. The boss, I completely understand, because that is more or less a cheat, but the mobs? In some instances in this game, there are so many mobs that you rely on CW's, Clerics and other such people to toss trash off the edge, because they have that ability. IMO, this is referred to as crowd control. In the final boss of the T2 spider lair dungeon, you now have an unrelenting stream of extremely hard-hitting, high health mobs coming at the cleric and cw constantly, which means that the dps, either a GWF or a TR, is forced to choose between killing a boss that constantly heals themselves, or fighting mobs to save the cleric and CW, who they need to keep alive in order to survive the battle themselves. Tanks are amazing too, don't get me wrong, but there's only so much aggro a single tank can pull before he too dies from these ridiculously overpowered mobs, which constantly stream in and quickly overwhelm even the best groups.
Has anyone managed to finish this dungeon after the "fix"? I tried with two very good groups evenly spread on classes and decently geared, and both times we ran out of medkit and health pots trying to kill her. I'm starting to believe it really is impossible at the current gearscore, and believe you me, I don't say that often.
If anything, I wish the mobs wouldn't constantly stream in--instead, they should stream in only at certain health percentages, like other bosses. The funny thing is, it's not the actual boss, or her self heal mechanic that kills us (although she does hit VERY hard on t2), it's these mobs. Seriously, there is way too many, and they hit way too hard, with far too much health, considering you can no longer toss them off the platform.
So, any tips? Does this dungeon need a nerf now, or what?
