Or at least be a big step in the right direction. Instead of nerfing rogues why not give every class the ability they have to break free from CC. Rift had the same issue at launch, only cleric could break free initially then it was patched so that every class had the skill.

It would be have to be slotted, has a cooldown and has to have points spent on it. So its not going to break cc classes. Just put impossible to catch as an encounter power option for every class, or heck even make it daily power. Or give other classes a short timed stun immunity etc.

I play a TR, DC, and CW and all three are fun but the chain lockdown with no counter needs a fix. Full disclosure here my highest toon is 39 and I don't know what other issues there are at 60, aka people being one shotted etc but the DC and CW can be chain locked and killed without ever getting an ability off.

I don't want to see TR or CW nerfed, both are great as is. It's the lack of other classes ability to counter that's the issue, at least up through 39 bracket.

All I could think of the whole time was this.

Honestly the problem isn't so much cc as it is the prone mechanic. Stuns and daze and knock backs etc aren't anywhere near as punishing as prone attacks. Unfortunately prone attacks are also the most effective way of killing off geared gwfs right now so I'm conflicted on whether or not it should be changed.

The effectiveness of CWs CCs have been reduced to 50% since I started PVPing 2 months ago. What are you gonna say about that? Or all classes have some sort of immunity against CCs but CWs? Where is your god now?

sounds pretty stupid to me, its a nerf to those with control abilities while taking a slot and using power or whatever, the stun and control abilities need to work for a reasonable time like for one or two seconds not six and the short time should always be such that classes can recover from them (look at the cleric's chain of light, it stuns but its stun is short, now lets compare that short time to other classes incredibly long times and I think the solution becomes obvious, the long stuns should be shorted in PvP while keeping the short ones as they are, or give players a chance to break free that increases after each second under control... 1 second = 0 chance, 2 seconds 30% chance, 3 seconds 50% chance, 4 75%, 5 95% ... this wouldn't be like saving throws... fighters may not be given any chance at all or low chance as if they aren't held or anything they are likely going to destroy who they are up against with ease).

It's really not necessary imo, some classes have this as a power, some classes can dodge or block the stun. What I see most CW's do is just choke the first target that comes along... and that's great (for me), because without those stacks of arcane, it's just going to last only a second or so.
