- Enemies using AoE attacks that also heal them, you can block the damage portion (so technically they don't hit your health, just your guard meter) but the enemy still heals up as if they hit your health. Blocking should do the same as being OUT of the AoE, no damage (reducing guard meter) and enemy not healing up as there is nothing to drain.
Unless I'm mistaken shields are made out of metal, not life force.
- [Debatable] Bosses with abilities that need to hit you (Gray Wolf Den comes to mind, boss needs to hit someone to summon spirit wolfs) even if you block the hit the on hit effect still goes through. - Feel free to discuss this one.
Most likely there are more of these 'issues' that i haven not found yet. Feel free to add them.
Debuffs like roe or ray of frost pass through blocking. Targets still get the debuff just not the dmg.
Dont really have a problem with this, honestly. As you are still technically getting hit with the ability.

I dont have a problem with it with any other class.
CW / Cleric / Rogue can all dodge out of it GWF can sprint away from it, all of which before any initial 'hit'.
GF are the only once left out but are supposed to have 'block' as alternative you ignore damage but not the on hit effect which i find strange as all other classes have an ability on their 'shift key' to avoid it all together.

IIRC, the Eye of Gruumsh warden Chaos hammer attack will always prone you.
I've just taken note of all the attacks that ignore block and get out of the red. Especially for the AOE self heals.
In general, these sort of issues are actually more related to those specific powers rather than Guard itself, so if you see these, please mention them!
(I'm guessing the life drain issue is referring to the battle Wight Commander's ability?)

Yes i was indeed referring to the Wight Commander, although i have a feeling that it is the same for all the wights draining life.
Currently I've seen these effects stack even when fully blocked.
1. Any Life Drain effect, Wight, Battle Wight, Dread Pirate Boss
2. Chill
3. Ray of Enfeeblment
4. Duelist Flurry.
5. Eye of Gruumush
6. Mad Dragon boss poison dot on his straight line breath attack.

Boss Mechanic's - Many of them still do dmg or knockback effect even with shield up.
Get out of RED and don't depend on block.

only if you are more than halfway forward in the circle if you take a few steps back it will be blocked fully and you will not go prone.
