Rogues are currently exploiting the stealth build with the ability to 2 shot people sometimes 1 shot people while never leaving stealth. Please put in a -20% debuff to all crit dmg or just all dmg for when people zone into flagged PvP zones. This will help balance and also keep from doing things like past games did with resilience to counter burst being too high.
That way when you're balancing, it will have less impact on PVE and you can keep the one shot exploited builds from being way to effective.
Harness the good combat in this game with some better PvP, more modes and guild v. build pvp (Ranked ladders anyone?) and you will get thousands of players that just want to pvp in this game. With creative things like DMG debuff on entering pvp zone, it also helps with balance and keeping the PVE only base happy. Come on, get creative, think outside of the box...
One of the biggest issues in this game is T2 fully enchanted players going up against Lacking T1 players. PvP needs tiers, Ive found that an evenly geared team is a fair fight.

Arena Rankings. The combat is fricken fun in this game. Harness it with some E-Sport style stuff.
Having seen the sort of people that "e-sports" attracts, that would harm an already pathological userbase irreparably.
Competitive PvP is the /b/ of online gaming.

so if you take away a rogues burst then they have nothing.... its not like they can burst 1 shot you then run over to the next guy burst 1 shot him run to the next guy burst 1 shot him. It takes a daily and a skill with a long cd to be able to 1 shot someone. you make it sound like they are just running around 1 shotting someone every second.
Your nerf is not acceptable. Class balance requires looking at the overall picture not just taking an axe to it to solve a "problem" that may or may not even exist outside your own mind. If you nerf crit damage, for example, it hurts specific builds of a variety of classes while making other builds suddenly more attractive --- converting all +crit to power and armor pen, for example, and it also requires a respec token (get rid of weapon master and other crit feats to gain dps on non-crits with alternative choices).
The end result would be everyone is mad as hell at having to buy a respec token and adjust their gear choices and whatnot, and after everyone DOES that, the result would be not too different from the current. Instead of mega crits, you would have mega encounter and daily hits.
Nerf damage across the board is also fail. It makes defenses more important, requiring a respec and re-gear for many... making them mad again... and the end result is that tanks or groups with good healers will be invincible while TR & mages will have low dps and low defenses, becoming unplayable.
All you are doing here is getting people to pay into the game for respecs and ending up with an equally unbalanced pvp experience and aggravated players.
If the problem is stealth .... well offer something in return for taking it away or gutting it. *That* can be fixed... could have stealth make you harder to hit (+50% deflection at 100% mitigation while active) and remove the invisibility & combat advantage factors, to represent being hard to see & hard to hit, for a quick example.
They need to implement GearScore brackets at level 60. My GS is 12k and i can 1 shot ppl with leashing blade w/o stealth when they have 6k gear score....

Check out my thread on how to always counter a perma stealth rogue. hit Alt, click leave. They got owned. That's right no glory for them. Since using this method I have not lost to a perma stealth yet. I am off to another PvP match earning glory while the perma stealth rogue I left behind sits there getting no glory in his stealth.
If you follow this method you will own perma stealth's like I do all day every day.
Whats is ruin this game is PvP, since the begin of game developement classes were design for PvE only and last year they decided they wanted to add PvP to the game which is HAMSTER all the game now by unbalacing classes in PvE just because PvP is unbalance....
I dont have nothing againts PvP at all, i actually enjoying do some PvP.... but PvP are having much more attention than PvE have atm and its ruin the game

If they were to implement your idea all that would have to happen is a player puts on crappy gear, waits for que to pop and then switches into their best gear. Now they are playing with lower GS players with their best GS gear on. Nice huh? Pretty soon you'll be crying about this and cryptic will be scratching their heads on how to fix it.

If they were to implement your idea all that would have to happen is a player puts on crappy gear, waits for que to pop and then switches into their best gear. Now they are playing with lower GS players with their best GS gear on. Nice huh? Pretty soon you'll be crying about this and cryptic will be scratching their heads on how to fix it.
Grey it out. You're stuck with the gear your queue with.
