Anyone have any idea on how I can "hide" a teleporter from the player until they do the right thing? Teleporters can't be hidden using the ordinary methods so I was hoping for a way to hide or mask that section of the map. Any ideas or maybe it can't be done?
Place it in a "secret" room, which you create by walling off an area. Or else put something large on top of the portal.
Either way have something at the end of the map to trigger the wall/object blocking access to the portal.
In my quest I didn't really hide it, I just blocked it off. I used a 5x5x5 invisible wall as an interactive component sitting on top of a portal, named it "An strange force repels you." gave it an interact message, "say the magic word, XYZZY!", and the fail message of, "Nothing happens."

Yeah I'd place a secret wall or such, and at the end of a VERY long corridor, place the telporter, as you know these things are LOUD lol
So placing something over it and have that disappear isn't a viable means.
