It sucks to be European. (High latencies, EU proxies down) PVP and PVE affected.

First of all EU proxies are not reliable.
It's rare to patch or play game via:
eu1.proxy.crypticstudios.com
eu2.proxy.crypticstudios.com
90%+ of time you just got stuck.

PVP is a horror i go over 113% mounted movement speed and guy after me takes a spawned potion on pit before me.
I went through healing potion and even did not take it.
I try to target and spam control spell for over half of second. Other CW comes and got me first?! If he got better gear score my toon dies, regardless of skill/tactics. even if same gear it's a serious disadvasntage.
/showfps 1 seems to be lie - there is low latency and you got lags, just like there were fake ping server for europeans.

In PVE I am taken down more suddenly than others, all classes (You say it's aggro issue or i suck in PVE, well I don't).

This was discussed before but it looks like cryptic can not afford servers with similar latency for US and EU or reliable US-EU low latency backbone.

there is no way for an european to play with low latency on US servers, and it has nothing to do with the lack of a "low latency backbone" (whatever that is) but with the distance...and that is something that cant be changed other then moving to the US
and they wont make an EU server cause they wont split the playerbase

but what i wonder: why use those proxies anyway? never used them, never had a problem

Try being Australian in any game ever..
With moving out of circles so important lag is so much more noticable :(

Yeah, the latency difference sux. But I cannot say I warp or something I have actually almost never experienced any kind of rubberbanding or lag problems. As I said the ping difference is there and it sux of course (You just have a big disadvantage when you meet equally skilled player, exactly as he pointed out with the control spells, this is the most annoying).

But again, I do not really warp or anything ;)

"low latency backbone" was unfortunate truly, however latency via fiber with not so many switches/routers should not be as horrible as it is.

Sometimes i feel like latency was 300 - 500 ms regardless of what in game ping/latency info states.

Just they may do 3 servers - North America, Europe, Asia+Australia.

The problem is that a US client gets their signals from the server that much faster, including the signal concerning your actions. So they can see and react to what you've done, before your own client gets the signal from the server that you're actually doing it.

Yea.....that's sort of how the internets work.

Delve loot murdered my TR, DC, & GWF. Nerf Plox:
I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

So local PVP servers - (Uncommon and better Item Trading forbidden, you can join it regardless of normal server assignment(mix Dragon, Mindflyer, Beholder players to fix long queue problems)
Just You check PVP Servers you want to try PVP on (EU, US, Asia, AUS, INTERNATIONAL)
    Same for Gaultgrym.

This has been posted many times.
The ping difference between eu and us is so big an eu player doesnt stand a chance in pvp.

In pve eu players have to react faster or they rubberband back into the red spot and take damage anyway.
Using encounters with a long animation with a shift abilety right after makes the shift abilety bugg.

For this reason i have decided i am spending 0 euro on this game untill they get an eu server.
Its also the last time i play a game that doesnt have eu servers.

All of the well known mmo's have eu servers.
Pwe can easily afford more servers.
But for some unknown reason they refuse to make the games quality better for non-us players.

after 3 mmos Cryptic was not able to open a server farm in europe, this tells you how serious they are.

same problem, showing acceptable ping, but reality you get hit before you know it.
    or miss on moving targets.

So true, this game is not made to PvP anyway, it's just a little game to pass through until a better one. Just don't spend money on it : PNW does not deserve it.
Once again a patch resulting in more issues than fixes... so ****ing ridiculous. This devs company is pathetic...

I agree, a company that makes a game and dont have an EU server is like a sinking boat. The mass of pro gamers and the official hardcore gamers are in europe and this is just sad. Even with my connection of 150mbit/sec national and 100mbit/sec international, I get a serious rubberbanding issues from time to time. You cant dodge spells properly cause of the server side delay you get cause of the high latency you get from the server (usually around 250-300). I dont get it, why Cryptic want EU players out? I decided not to pay for the game even who I have the collectors editions on EVERY game of the Neverwinter Knights series and some other games from the FOrgotten Reals because the game has no EU server to play on. I have the feeling that in the end there wount be any competitive play in the server cause the mass of pro gamers will move to different games (like I intend to do). It was good at the beginning, no rubberbanding and lag, but a few weeks after the open beta starts, one of the patches just destroyed it by simply making most of the things server side not client side. Other games fix this problem by making more things client side so the preasure over the server decreases so players wount feel the lag or rubberbanding.

You know what the lag is not so bad even worse that latency info is a total lie!

a lot of people are having trouble with queues now, especially in PvP... others are reporting no problems at all... have to wonder if it has to do with servers

I all people on PVP are from EU it will be smooth for all. I am not sure if one person with bed connection can intoduce lagging to whole pvp arena but i doubt.
