An official post will inform us when the class in coming out. There's no point in asking because even if you get an official response, it'll just be "coming soon".

Oh, he asked 'what', another answer that could've been answered by googling or searching the forums for the thousands of other posts.

TL;DR - Archer Ranger and Scourge Warlock, but no clue which is actually NEXT. They're both pretty much done.

It is unknown when new classes will come out and which will come first, or if the two known about will be released simultaneously. One of the more common guesses is that the next class release will coincide with the release of the first module.

I don't think we'll see a new class for sometime. Besides they should fix the ones we already have.

$100 bucks says, it'll cost you 2500 zen to purchase the class in order to create that class of character to play :)

cryptic does seem to be greedier with requiring you to buy stuff with real money with this game more so than their other games. (just saying)

so i wouldn't get too worked up about playing a new class just yet even if they do release it.

What annoys me is there are skeleton Archers and other monster Archers yet i cant use a bow myself during the game.

They've gone on record many times saying that they're not going to charge for new classes.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

And I can make a list of a lot of things that are said would be free and then they make us pay for it.

Go for it. Because I can't think of one off hand.

they also said the same thing about the ships in sto just before sto went ftp and guess what? which resulted in about 300 threads on that forum being deleted to cover it up. and former subscribers were supposed to still have all their bank and storage slots unlocked for free for all their chars. which turned out to be only partially correct. basically only kept the slots on those chars unlocked before it went to free to play. and i kept my sto sun after ftp launch as as the storage slot expansion with leveling were supposed to be free but instead they were going to charge for it. that's when i dropped to ftp status in sto.

then in champions online they were suppose to have their expansion free and they tried to charge for it anyway. which started a big fiasco which for the better they reversed their mind on. so as players if you give slack to any ftp game devs and they see an opportunity to to charge you for something they will.

which leads me to believe cryptic has been studding the frengi rules of aquistion book a little too much! and have joined the frengi alliannce.
