To all the Hard Core players that actually care about the game's progression, please let's propose CRYPTIC to fix this issue which brings inconvenience after someone levels up and can't join a skirmish that left behind, or it was really fun but there is no way to play it, ever again with same character.
Let's show to designers that the whole skirmish "philosophy" is poorly designed and just wrong, and they must at least give to players more option about it.
Thx.

I think/hope that they will eventually make them scale with levels.
As it currently stands they are so easy to outlevel, which also means your character will be permanently incapable of ever getting certain achievements and lore.
Then again, this is already the case with the storylines if you don't find all the lore objects before completing them - but I think you can at least tag along with another player and get the lore there if you missed out.

Yes, lets hope it comes to the devs attention and fix this because it is really frustrating.
Unbelievably frustrating indeed. For me, especially early on, once I started using invocation and without realizing it I had out leveled two Skirmishes. Even now, I wait for the skirmish events but have to hope my invocations don't give me massive XP, I still managed to level past another. This is a must fix for Cryptic devs. I think a temporary fix could be to widen the levels of the Skirmish. Do they really think that I will be that much more over powered at 27 than 26?? Another would be to have more than one available at a time, like how some dungeons do currently. There really should just be entrances to them like the dungeons have in their map location.
I wanted to get all the achievements for the zones but I out leveled the skirmishes by 1 or 2 levels. And thatrs going through the game normal AND skipping all the dungeons. Please let us go back and play them. Or take out the achievements for them. Or atleast let us play an "Epic" version of them.

Agreed with the above. It seems a shame if you render your own content unplayable, especially since the skirmishes are really quite fun sometimes- simple bite sized dungeons are a nice change of pace. I'd love to see them as epic-ish level 60 options, too.

Agree. I am currently prevented from getting some of the achievements because of this, and it is a bit annoying.
Yes please! A lvl 60 version of the current skirmishes! The mindflayer one... Well i don't enjoy it. The map is dark, i don't like mindflayers npcs, and there is no daily for this skirmish.
You wouldn't even need a real entrance. As far as im aware, every area has an NPC to tell you about each areas skirmish. Some even give you quests to do the skirmish. They just need to give that NPC a dialog choice that allows manual entry.

And it could ask you if you wanted to solo the skirmish, or go in with others, but scaled down to their level. That would prevent some level 60 from overrunning the skirmish.

I'd favor the devs doing one of two things - either allow a skirmish to scale or (and possibly a better solution) implement a sidekick solution for all skirmishes and dungeons that you've out-leveled. Sidekicking should be one way - you can sidekick down, but not sidekick up.
I have to agree with this thread. They need to slow down the xp, and scale the skirmishes. This is the number one thing that ticks me off about this game. I had really hoped they would adjust it for the launch, but nothing.
I really can't understand why Cryptic would spend the time & money to create the content, only to rush the players by without giving them a chance to do it. Makes no sense.

There is yet another argument for allowing people to do skirmishes they have "outlevelled" - it will give people at lvl 60 something more to do than just hang around waiting for DD windows. Moreover, adding scaled/epic skirmishes should require little development effort, compared to many other things.
(and yes, being able to get the missing achievement points would be nice too. I missed some points because I levelled up too fast to really bother with some of the dungeons - but at least I can go back and do those non-epic dungeons now....with the skirmishes, I am just...stuck.
People have been asking for this for quite some time now. We can only hope that because new threads keep getting made that the ability to enter Skirmishes similar to dungeons is added soon.
