PVP (GF and GWF vs TR)

I am a rogue im not the best equiped (10K GS), but on 1vs1 i finding almost impossible to kill a GF or GWF 1vs 1.

I dont know if its just with me or if other TR have it also, but pvp now just Have GF and GWF, they do very good damage for a so called defense class, and they take almost no damage...

I am not sure but i think stuned GF still be able to raise the shield up... i have stun some and they have the stun effect on the head but the shield still goes up... when im stun i cant roll... that stupid... if they still be able to use tab and i dont.

GWF well I am tired of see the guy almost dead and by almost dead its like 1% of the bar they use the grow skill and they are invulnerable cuz u attack and attack and he doesn't die but your full health its gone.

I would like to know if other TR's feel the same.

If that's the case... Its useless to keep trying PVP with my TR till they change it again if they ever do.

Thx to all that read this and reply.

(no you are the worst TR in the game answer those are useless and as i said im not that good, instead give some tips)

Well most TR are playing very ... bad.

    1) do not try to get close (stealthed or not) to a non dazed GF! He will focus you and will kick you away with bull charge. Then lunging Strinke, then frontline and you are dead.

    2) use smokebomb heavily. its the best opener skill vs GF! daze him, hit him, until the daze is over use dazing strike to daze him again.

    3) get a good skill rotation! Most TRs are using skills which are great to kill all CWs very fast based on invisibility: running invis to the cw and kick him. But this is not working vs GF cause of bull charge (see 1) ).

    4) do not hope for onehits, be prepaired for longer fights! smokebomb, dazing strike, impossible to catch are very nice to protect yourself. your main damage skill vs GF is your ranged at will! Daze the GF as long as possible, use impossible to catch to stay allive in melee combat. before impossible to catch expires, you should go stealth, use daggers and run around very fast to avoid some blind shots of frontline surge. You will be visible again when smokebomb or dazing strike will be rdy again, repeat this, keep running. dodge EVERY lunging strike of GF so he cant get close enough to you and has no chance.

This is the main recipe to kill EVERY(!) GF as TR. The most interesting fact: this build seems to work vs other classes too. The only chance of a GF is that the TR failed to dodge or ran into the frontline surge/bull charge which is just lucky.

TRs are the best PvP class in the whole game. Noobs are killing CWs and clerics easily, good players are able to kill everything. I played vs such a TR last few matches. Im GF and i had no chance because all depends on knockdown... avoid the knockdown (impossible to catch, stealth while using RANGED skills) and you win easily.
    No leaver penality in PvP!

    And here is the reason:

If you want people to stay for the match end even when you're sitting on a 600-10 score and you've decided to be ***-hats and spawn-camp, you need to give them a reason. Punishing them is not the answer. That's just pouring salt-acid into an already bleeding wound.

You're probably using the wrong tactics. Most rogues I meet trash me and are often the only class to kill me(far ahead of CWs and GWF).

Neither GF or GWF can accurately be called defensive classes in PvP. Almost everyone stacks for maximum burst damage. For GF's this means the high DPS Conquerer tree instead of the defensive Protector tree or the strategic/party buffing Tactician tree.

We cannot use block when dazed.

Remember that GF can only block in a 180 degree arc slightly infront of their position. Tactical positioning before using your damaging encounter rotations or at-wills is the way to take out a GF. Get around or wear down the shield and he/she is just as squishy as other classes(well, nearly).

Smoke bomb is very effective if you're in melee range, it dazes the GF, which is slow and takes time to leave the cloud. This gives you time to get into a more advantageous position for follow up attacks or stealth without the threat of being hit by an AOE power. GF's are most dangerous if you're in front of their shield, in melee range and they have their encounters ready. Don't be in that situation.

Easy to say but... that is not what happens, simply because you are taking out all of your damage dealers to make you defend, and the problem is that without those powers, gf wich have such defence even without using stamina, you will not kill them only by hits, what will happen is that you get him half health, very good but then all of your defences are in cooldown, they just do you up,up,down, back and dead.
That was with GF, now with GWF is what he says, since the patch, the growing thing is too strong, it was weak before and it was overbuffed, I happen to have 3 dudes trying to kill a GWF with that on using all the powers, he goes out of it and loses some health, but the cooldown on that thing is too low, and you cant dazz them while they are on that effect, then also damage gets increased by what I see...

It is just too much, tr and cw are the only balanced classes in the game, clerics need a buff on base movement speed and healing, then GF Needs a general damage nerf and GWF needs a little nerf on the bigdude thing, they already have alot of damage and making them able to 2v1 2 tr's looking like they are stealing a candy from a baby is too much for sure, I hope the next patch fixes alot!

You basically have a GF telling you how TRs kill him and your response is that it's too hard for you. The fact that you can't "guarantee" a kill against him means they are balanced. It is on player skill and if you can't manage it, that's not because they are OP.

Your basic complaint seems to be that you can't just stand in front of someone and hit a macro that will kill them for you.

There is literally a TR build listed in the TR forums that will give you permanent stealth so that you can kill someone without them ever being able to target you back.

And another one for you gabryel...

Also the suggestion of staying at range is spot on, as is picking your angles to attack from and maintaining LoS control.

The "grow" thing for GWF is thier tab skill. It's called unstoppable. its CD is not existent. It's based off them taking damage and killing people. It gives them 25%-50% DR and 10-20% temp.HP. And it reduces their at will damage. Spend two minutes looking at what the classes can do... Since your an assassin class and all... Don't go running in blindly thinking you can kill everything just because your a TR. also patience is a thing... Skills have durations if they use a skill you can't deal with run away till its gone you don't have to kill everything as fast as possible. Don't be a dumb rogue! Use you sense and be an assassin wait till people are not expecting you. Go In hit hard then get out. If you kill someone bonus. I've used shadow tactics so much I've made people scared. I've sat and watched them from the shadows moving about then when they think they are safe BAM. Eat your 25k dmg.

As a Sentinel I'd like to point out that smokebomb does not work against us when we're unstoppable. 9 out of 10 rogues will stand directly in front of me as I whack them on the head.

If you're a rogue, attack then get out - rinse, repeat. Don't stand toe-to-toe with a sentinel. You're not supposed to. Remember, we can't heal ourselves very well with lifesteal if you keep moving.
