Selune's Tears

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been asked before.

I tried searching the forums and was not able to find my the answer i was looking for.

What's the purpose of Selune's Tears item? I have 12 pieces with me and it seems to be bound to my character.

    You can trade 40 of them for a Manticore Seal according to The Wiki.

    Not sure where though.

    There is a quest in Ebon Downs that require that you have one.
    It is a level 35 area.
    Not sure why you can get so many and the ones early in the game.

    Also evidently a bounty Item....

    On each map you will drop different tokens, and find bounty hunters looking for those tokens:
    ■Sludge Samples in Blacklake District
    ■Many Arrows Insignia in Tower District
    ■Blackdagger Insignia in Blackdagger Ruins
    ■Necromantic Sigil in Neverdeath Graveyard
    ■Ashmadai Symbol in Helm

    The Pedia is wrong, ambisinisterr. The Bounty for the Ebon Downs is Deathknell Shard Slivers. Selune's Tears don't have a function beyond the summoning of the ghost of Galwyn Grist.

    Should I discard it? I'm now level 60 and not sure if I can still activate with low level quest.

    Should still be able to do the ques but do not see any reason unless you are a completionist.

    A fair few foundry missions use them as decorations and they don't always auto-destroy on complete.
    Could be that's where you picked them up.

    Selune's tears used to get you a cool potion from the ghost during the Closed Beta Weekends. That was removed for the Open Beta.

    It's annoying in Foundry because they are very appropriate around Her statues, but people end up grabbing them assuming the item is relevant to the mission.
