Hello fellow community members (and Cryptic if you read these: not sure if there is a separate place for actual suggestions?)
Currently, enchantments, runes and wards take up way too much space in inventory. Yes, fusing collapses them, but there are so many types that too many slots are still taken up. I suggest a separate inventory tab, like the one for profession materials and assets. Either that, or greatly reduce the variety and number of these items.

This.
PWE wants you to start forking over cash as soon as possible, so they clutter your inventory as quickly as possible with garbage. I simply sell anything less than rank 4 now. I sell all rank 4's and higher on the AH.
And no, I've longed stopped caring about outfitting myself

Here are a few tricks you can use to help keep your inventory clear:
1. Once you hit 30, mail minor injury kits (that aren't bound) to yourself, and sell the rest. Once you hit about 32, do the same for lesser ID scrolls.
2. Once you get to 20+, R1 runes/enchants become kinda worthless. Fuse whichever you can, and sell the rest.
3. Don't bother ID-ing non-class items that are below 60 or aren't rare or you don't intend to use for your companions, and just sell them.
4. Use up those free party poppers and fireworks you get - they just take up space and are bound anyway.
5. Once you've finished an area, either farm to get 10 of the emblems for that area's bounty master to turn in, sell them on the AH for a really low price, or just discard them.
6. Use bound potions first and stack the others as much as possible. Once you've gotten like 4-5 of a higher tier buff potion, (tidespan, accuracy, etc), either pass them off to an alt via the mail system, or just sell them.
7. Fill up all the potion slots on your belt - no point in keeping them empty, as they're basically 3 extra inventory slots.

I have to agree, runes and wards simply take up too much space. I mail them around to characters and whatnot, but in the end, I don't believe that most of my space should be take up with wards. It just feels wrong.
If they gave you a tab to store all the runes/enchants/wards, you'd never need to buy a single bag (enchants/runes are the only thing that's stressed my storage space).
Be glad that they give us all that crafting space (rather than, say, 1/4 of the space and hey, buy some expansions!).

You are supposed to BUY bags and bank slots at jaw dropping prices to hold all that loot
Hey people, SERIOUSLY!@!! This is a FTP game that is NOT P2W, and anyone who says it is, needs to go over to an aeriagames game, or a blizzard game and see what PAY TO WIN really looks like, how about a $300 a month tier of items that if you do not buy it every month, you will fail to compete in PvP, in a PvP game... THAT is P2W!!!
That said, they NEED to make money somehow, or else they cannot provide the game.... SO they sell us bags, and I might add not horribly expensive bags, and other stuff.... Stop "femaledogging" and look at things a little more "globally", rather then what is right in front of your little world.
Uh, I only think one person said anything about too much $ for bags.
I am not sure where the rant about P2W is coming from. The thread is about storage.
They want your inventory to fill fast so you pay cash for bags.
Store them in the mail if it's a big problem.
6 Runes
5 Enchants ( not counting savage, weapon, or armor)
each of those 11 have 10 ranks ( this is not counting weapon, armor, and savage )
so 110 inventory slots
main bag = 30
Greater bag of hold = 24
Greater bag of hold = 24
Greater bag of hold = 24
Greater bag of hold = 24
126 total posable inventory space
126 - 110 = 15
so 15 slots left IF YOU HAVE ALL THE BEST BAGS!!!
15 slots total for the weapon/armor/savage enchants, and ppots (not even going to start on how many types of those there are) ID scrolls, heal kits, portal scrolls,... oh and I may want to pick up SOME LOOT SOMETIME!!!!
edit to add: and if you are crafting? to make higher crafted gear? might as well make a frakking alt to do it, there's no way you have space.
edit to add: forgot your mentioning mail as an option.... mail has a cap, you can only send so many mails to self, before deleting the others, and I already hit that cap... NUMEROUS TIMES!
edit to add AGAIN!!!: also most gear of blue or greater, and some greens have special graphics, that are useable to edit you current gear, unless you collect these things and look at them , you will not be able to have the outfit choices you may actually want... those different graphic sets alone would use the entire inventory, and then some.
frak I have 10 toons, I'm frakking with mail to keep my inventory right, more than I ACTUALLY PLAY THE **** GAME!!!
The rant about P2W came from the fact that it could be MUCH worse.... I was trying to point out that at least so far, PWE has done a decent job of making the game affordable for everyone to play.... But they need money to come from somewhere, so it is bags and cosmetics and such.
They will NOT offer an enchant tab for that reason, they want to sell you the bags.
If they do not push the bags and other items to make the game convenient, they will have to start selling things like "GM services" where they enhance your weapon for you with a special item that you can only buy from Zen store that does "x" amount of damage... once that starts the people with TONS of $$$ will be buying that and effectively kill the FTP aspect of the game.
So to try to summarize, buy the bags, don't buy the bags, but don't complain to loudly, because you will not like the alternative to NOT selling bags. Bottom line, they will not change the storage space as it makes money.
This is funny to me, because I know full well that there are other free to play games that offer a "collections" tab where you store harvested items and other inventory fillers. They even make bags an in game buy able item (and offer free respecs *gasp* omg, AND don't make the end game gear purchasable with cash)
But that's ok, you defend your Cryptic and allow them to give you the short end of the stick. Some of us know better.
P.S. Even if one were to treat this game as a sub game and pay $15 a month to buy zen and help support Cryptic, they would not be anywhere NEAR able to have the "quality of life" of a Pay to play mmo and would be left wanting everywhere they turned with Cryptic rooting around in their pockets for yet more money. This is what is wrong with the "Free" to play genre.
u have a bank as well? i bought one more bank space - i use bank spots only for shards/enchants and keep them from lvl 5 onwards in there. i collect lvl 4 (those are in my bags - not too much space) and fuse them whenever i have 4 of the same one. the fused ones go into my bank. any shard i find goes into the bank straight away - its really not a big whoop. i dont get the people flaming about "110 spaces taken".. i mean... really? who keeps lvl 1, 2 or even 3? while leveling you put them into your gear for a few levels just to discard the item 30 mins later... and they serve no purpose later on. and for the lvl 8 ++ enchants... who has lots of these? if you dont use it you rather sell it for a bunch of AD instead of letting it rot in your bag and seeing the price of them go down as the market gets flooded by them.
The shard system was created to fill your precious bags.
Smart.
No, it's the same system that is used in other cryptic games, CO and STO. They just adopted it here. There are other simililarities in the 3 games. Check them out if you like they are also ftp.

Idk I haven't hit any caps. You could do multiple acct and keep specific items on each acct, one for costumes, one for enchants etc. Or If you need more space then purchase it. They literally pay you to play this game so you could get them for free if you do a little grinding. Like was said before these guys need to eat too. If you don't like the business model my only suggestion is, don't play.
Outfit choices are one thing totally different. If they actually put a decent char creator in like they did or their other games it wouldn't be an issue. As far as I can tell, this is how all high fantasy games are..looking the same within your class.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback ! Yes, I realize they want to sell bags. Its just really annoying dealing with all the stones...
Thanks for the mail tip, I didn't think of that ! Anyone encountered any issues with items expiring or disappearing ? Perhaps its better to keep only lower-order items there...

So the $200.00 foundry pack is not a rip off, and how much is a bag 200 zen. But you can convert ad to zen, about how much is 200 zen in ad. so you wasted almost all your ad, for just 200 zen to get a bag. Not everyone spends 8 hours a day or so on the pc, to get enough ad to convert to zen. They know people most people dont have 8 hours or so to spend on the pc, so they make it so people have no choice but to spend real money to get zen.
P.S And they said the zen market they will lower prices, oh lower prices the actual price that they should have been (not the rip off price they were before.) Even with the lower prices its still a rip off, cryptic and pwe are greedy.
How about a compromise, then? Sell a RUNE/ENCHANT Tab that functions like the Crafting Tabs and then sell individual Bags for that Tab. Cryptic/World gets paid and we get our inventory nicely uncluttered. Also note that you can send Bags through the Mail, so you only actually have to buy enough to fill out one character and just send your empty bags to an Alt whenever you want to play them.

everyone stores them in the mail and its a time consuming pain, the only good thing about it is that you don't lose mail when it sits idle for a time... some players form guilds for the sole purpose of using the guild bank to store their gems in
