I'd say CW. Their weakest is up close, stuns and other features will cut through them pretty fast. They have some amazing AOE damage, as long as they keep their distance away from the target. They could make a pretty farce foe. On top of that, they can fire from long distances and you know crowd control

Definitely CW.. They don't even need to have any skill at all..
A skilled CW will 1vs5 the enemy without ever being touched..

    False.
At end game PvP, even a skilled CW is easily dealt with by a competent TR or GF.

    Definitely GF.
Just stack Tenebrous & GPF enchants.
Use the perma prone combo, stay perma immune to CC's, & have enough life to face tank everything even if your shield bar gets depleted.

I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

Despite what people think severe reaction does not proc every time. If you use a knock down (or any CC really) you can still run to the CW before he gets up and smoke him easy, especially a GF.

besides perma invis TR > all

TR) Can't dodge what you can't see. Can't escape what you can't CC + most TRs stack movespeed in their utility slot & have a class feature that grants +15% move speed.

GF) Can't dodge when you lose the game. GF will just sit on point & wait for you to get close. In the "castle" PvP map, just go mid & "hide" behind a corner forcing CWs to get close. In the "mountain" PvP map, just go for one of the far caps & charge as they come up the stairs.

You've obviously never played a competitive FPS game before. It's very easy to negate a range advantage with terrain advantage.

You still see them when they're close and can react accordingly...

And who exactly is forcing you to go there? You could just sit it out or take another way.

The "best" class is the one played by the best player on the team that knows how to support each other. Each class brings something to the table and if supported by another, can be dominant. Even Cleric.

1 v 1, between two equally skilled players, starting on equal footing, with equal gear--it varies. Some classes are stronger against others and weaker against different ones. As a CW myself, I fair well against Clerics, decent against Rogues and Guardians, and struggle most against well-played Fighters. I can lose to or beat any of these classes. It is true, I rarely lose to a lone Cleric. And usually not to a lone GF. It's about 50/50 with the Rogues, depending on my dodge timing and his ability to perma-stealth CoS me at the end of the fight.

It's been said many times, the "best" class is the one you have the most fun playing.

1v1 stealth spec TR hands down. 5v5 CW and GF bring a lot to the table. 20v20 DC become MVPs.

Since my buds let me play their accounts since they are done with the game, I've access to geared 60s of every class. The most enjoyable are CW and TR. DC is the least fun to play. I don't particularly like the GF either, just a bland experience to play.

Honestly though, this is some of the most boring PvP in an MMO in some time. GW2 was boring as well, but not this bad.

Movement bonuses via Utility slots atm do not work , you have the enchants there and that's about it for GS . They don't stack they don't work they are completely broken .

Just wanted to clarify this .

lol, with a movement increase of perhaps 2.5% I can't see how anyone would even notice, though I think my cleric barely moves faster than before

This is a 3rd-person rpg... no fps..

    1) That's why I tend to approach CWs from behind (if possible). Gives even less time for them to react before they take a crit lashing.
    2) Nothing's forcing you....just that little bar to the right counting upwards for your enemy team. Feel free to run around without taking any caps.
    3) Same inherent strategies apply. Terrain advantages are still useful in a MMORPG. We aren't fighting in an empty map.

lol, with a movement increase of perhaps 2.5% I can't see how anyone would even notice, though I think my cleric barely moves faster than before

Class feature, nearly all TRs have 15% movespeed simply from it.
