i got usless items from skill nodes no proffession resources what so ever bent forks 50' spools of thread bag of usless holes broken glass and other things... how the hell do i get this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>...
i noticed if you get too many runes/enchants within a certain amount of time you get nothing but <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> from skill nodes for a while. Bug or dev's sneak in a thing to prevent everyone from farming enchants?
Last week there was a thread about this.........seems to be a new anti-harvest bot algorithm added to the game. If you harvest X amount of nodes in X amount of time it prevents you for getting any materials from harvest nodes, all you'll get is junk that sells for less than the kits to harvest the nodes. Also, what nuromal said, makes the professions event a joke, since not even half way through you'll get nothing but 75c(or less) junk items.

The sad truth is, this change does not stop the botting farmers at all. A minor change to the botting script only has the effect of adding a few seconds between botting runs and they can farm nodes almost as efficiently as before. It only stops the legit player from farming. It's a big win for botters, because they now get more customers; ie the legits that would have farmed this stuff before, but now can't.

That is the antifarming thingy. If you do to many nodes to fast you start getting junk items. YOu can wait and start up again but there is definitely a cool off time.

I agree with you, all the botters have to do is alter a few lines of code and have the bots twiddle thumbs for a few minutes until they are in the clear. Deters real people from harvesting mats when they have nothing else to do, such as no guild members online, or waiting for a friend/spouse/queue, or just being too tired to quest. What's worse is a new profession(dangling a carrot in front of us) is released and players cannot advance it as they did the other ones due to the change, and a lot of the mats on the AH will be from bots since normal players got frustrated trying to harvest. I'm surprised they haven't put farming tools on the zen market.

Technically all the legit players have to do is learn what the bots have learned. Simply slow down your rate of farming a little bit and you too will get no junk.
Yeah, this cheesed me off today! I'm not sure when this change started, because I haven't harvested in a couple days. But I thought I'd run and pick up some of the new wood and vitriol for Alchemy and got slammed with this. Nothing but greys after awhile.
Has anyone figured out the parameters? I tried switching instances, that didn't reset it. I tried switching zones, that didn't reset it. I didn't get a chance to see if a different character would also be affected...
I find it funny broke glass bent forks and bags of holes are things from robe of useless items.

From what I have seen, you can gather from one kit 5 times in a short period of time before it starts giving garbage. Might be just based on how many kits u get... but seems this way to me.
The reason they needed to add this was players were picking up a quest that leads into a dungeon/building/cave that has multiple easy access kits at the start with little to no fighting. then leaving the dungeon and receiving a warning that everything will be reset because they haven't completed it. So you run in and collect 4 kits with maybe having to kill 1 or 2 easy groups and run out. Rinse and repeat. This takes about 1.5 mins all in... soo in 30 mins you could collect 80 kits... which is more then they had intended for anyone to get in 30 mins.
I haven't bothered to see how long the time out lasts. But I would bet its for longer then its worth waiting for.

Sorry to say this , but i hope you find more and more <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> ransacking low level areas , if you feel the urge to farm nodes then do it in the high level regions ffs and leave low level players some nodes as well, it is frustrating and sickening to enter a zone where a 60 has made HIS run and then complains on the forum about crappy content in the nodes

Another thing i noticed today...from a stupid French player...if you loot a node....loot it COMPLETELY ...numnut, don`t let other ppl waste a kit for a tome or a crappy book, why do MMO`s Always have to cater so many arses?
btw this was a general rant and not an insult to the ones posted here, just venting some frustration

Does anyone have a link to the post about anti farming?
Technically all the legit players have to do is learn what the bots have learned. Simply slow down your rate of farming a little bit and you too will get no junk.
Bot farmers don't need to slow down anywhere near the amount of time as a legit player to avoid the current node restrictions. Bot farmers are not restricted to one character or one account. It adds seconds to switch accounts instead of loading a new instance.
The problem hasn't been solved, but the perception is that is has been. And it only costs the legit players.
Loot farmers ARE NOT legit players... are only a notch behind exploiters, heck, if you want to loot, go to illithid enclave and at least kill stuff for your loot!

Havn't reached Illithid enclave yet, I'm too casual. And if I want to spend 30 minutes running the profession resource event for profession resources, I would consider myself to be a bit more then a notch away from a machine running 8+ accounts simultaneously and cycling between another 64 accounts all on scripts.
So, the mobs in illithid enclave drop profession resources, is that what you are saying? If so, good to know.
