Ioun Stone Runes

Thinking of investing in the Blue Ioun stone.

At 1st glance I'd say I'm looking at slotting armor pen, crit strike, and still up in the air between recovery and HP for the Defense slot.

Unless of course there's some specific purple runes that I'm not even thinking of that'll make my halo super awesome...

So... for the group:

What's everyone else using?

Eldritch for the defense slot is the best option.

Hard to tell when we don't know your stats. But whatever you do don't use any HP items. You don't get any HP from companions as it is today.
I stack recovery, deflection, defense and crit for GF

HP = Bad mojo as has been stated.

Eldritch for Defensive Slot is also the best.

Just map out what you need first to get to the key plateaus of: 3k Crit/Recovery, 24% Arm Pen (GWF-Con adds, and GF-Dec adds), and after that whatever you feel like really. :)

Right... I guess sharing my stats build goals would have been helpful.

Primarily PvE dungeons with an occasional PVP match to pass the time. Not that interested in 1st place PVP at the cost of PVE survivability or not being able to fill my role as the Meatbag. I'm in the Valiant warrior armor set at the moment, but also have 3 pieces of the T1 Knight captain set. Running all of the T1 dungeons to try and farm the last pieces of the sets... maybe someday I'll get a Stalwart drop... until then: Here's what I'm looking like

I've got the stone on in the screenshot... no runes and it's at level 1.

Other than that, the only enhancements I've put on my gear at this point are a lesser Plaguefire/Dark Enh 6 on the Scimitar, and 2 lvl 5 HP enhancements on the easy to get armor pieces.

Reason I asked about the HP on the Ioun stone was that I'm thinking of doing 1 lifedrinker and a couple of tenebrous offensive enhancements on the rings and belt. If HP doesn't push over though, I guess I'll put the HP on the Armor slots where it fits.

I got the CRIT and ArP... working on slotting those.

The part I don't understand is how the eldritch rune transfers stats...

The Stone is already transferring said stats... is it possible to add more than 100% ?

It is best to stack recovery in your Ioun, since it is the best stat for PvE, but the worst so PvP (depending class and spec offcourse). So in general, in my opinion rec is the best to stack (the runestones are cheap too)

And with that Eldritch an item on your stone (like your best ring) actually does more for you than if you were wearing it. That said, it won't help your GS...
