During fights or when changing instances the dog companion sometimes unsummon itself (not like when some repel mobs = suicide pet) the dog just disappears and has to be re summon. But companion menu still claim the pet its active.

Problem i'm having is my skeleton dog is not getting experience. I did 2 rounds of the event and an invocation and its still at 0 xp.

That does sound like a bug.
I can only speak for myself but my blue dog levels up fine by creeps xp,( not from event) invocation and leadership xp is awarded normal as well.

Haven't you noticed the event mobs are...."special"?

Next time you encounter one...try to see what "level" it is.
Delve loot murdered my TR, DC, & GWF. Nerf Plox:
I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.
