My Neverwinter Wish List

edited June 2013 in General Discussion (PC)
I've been piecing together a list of general game "I wish"s in a microsoft word document and, as live is coming up, would like to post it here for general discussion. My experience is endgame (t2) with my rogue, and sampling the other classes at lower levels and looking through their powers and feats.

My Neverwinter wish list:

• Report spam now removes all messages from that player from your chat log

• Extra slots for out-of-use abilities to be dragged into ability slots for easy switching, organized like an inventory bag. I would prefer the extra slots to be on the bottom right, in a little vertical rectangular holding box between the inventory and the consumables.

• More specifics in abilities, i.e. when abilities simply say “reduces damage resistance” include specific numbers, as well as number of hits on multiple hit abilities, such as bloodbath.

• Dungeon chests instanced so that each player can simultaneously open theirs, instead of taking turns.

• Profession nodes in dungeons require native skill and are more rewarding, and located deeper in dungeons.

• Instances, specifically quest instances, remember when nodes are harvested, and do not reappear when resetting the zone.

• Attribute descriptions for each class at character creation, including numbers.

• More responsive guardian fighter block, especially when transferring from a crowd controlled state. Currently, coming out of crowd control with shift held down will not put the warrior into a blocking stance.

• Race changes, with new attribute rolls as if making a new character, for a zen price.

• 33% faster crafting, with a maximum of 18 hours of total activity on any given slot each day, to allow people to get the most out of their crafting without feeling stressed to be watching it all the time.

• Pre-set “tags” for foundry maps that developers can choose such as how many players are recommended, relative difficulty, amount of storytelling, theme, part of a series, etc.

• Regeneration increases healing and health gain from all sources, including potions.

• Equipment rating displayed on items (How much gearscore it gives, for general comparison)

• Gold reward dailies for level 60 open world zones

• Auction house mail auto-deletes when empty when you close the mailbox, possibly with a check box at the bottom to enable the feature.

• Options for groups to request replacements in dungeons, which should teleport in and arrive at the party leader’s last tagged campfire.

• Separate market for profession resources, and possibly runestones, that works like the zen exchange, where players can post and buy with AD by the unit price without having to deal with stacks and bids on the AH.

• Give ranged closer abilities a server-side range increase to reduce failed activations and rubberbanding from lag when using them at maxiumum range or while moving toward a target.

• Chat no longer continues to scroll down when receiving new messages if the player scrolled up.

• Multiple mount slots

• Timer for all dailies that give a self buff displayed as a cooldown on the ability.

• (Neverwinter Gateway) a profession chart that shows which characters on an account have completed tasks, open slots, etc. Displayed like a list of files in windows might but with progress bars, eta. times, and task descriptions to the right, as well as which ones are ready to invoke for AD.

• Allow guardian fighters to use consumables while blocking

• Make companions revive with full health after being dead for 12 seconds in combat, like they do when you exit combat.

• Make pvp respawn times a full 15 seconds for each individual person to make kills slightly meaningful.

• An explanation somewhere of exactly how % damage reduction and armor pen work with players and mobs.

• All instances of + % Power changed to a lesser degree of +% all Offensive stats (Power, recovery, crit, armor pen)

• Make bait and switch roll rogues in the direction they are pressing (WASD) instead of always backwards.

• Faster feedback when crowd control prevents a player or mob from using a wind up AOE that creates a red warning circle.

• 6 Slots of starter account wide shared bank slots and an account bank of money and AD, with purchased bank slots increasing the shared account, rather than one character’s bank.

Good list, Im sure they have loads of housekeeping updates planned.
[PVP]I would like to see self respawn (you click respawn now, instead of help) be a solid 10 seconds. and if the enemy stomps you then 15-20 seconds. 15 normal, 20 if you were calling for help.

I find it rather annoying overall how you have to stop fighting to stomp people in pvp. I compulsively press respawn now as soon as I'm dead so I can get up faster.

    Added:
    • Faster feedback when crowd control prevents a player or mob from using a wind up AOE that creates a red warning circle.

This is most important for rogues and GWF primarily, who are packed in with mobs most of the time

Good list. Only a portion of the things that should probably be added/changed, but still a good list. :)

    my wishlist

    - Bigger bags!

    - A little more surviablity.. i use a ton of healing pots.. but it could be that im not used to this play style yet ;)

    - A non magical range class; Archer or Ranger

    - The figther to choose between 2hand and 1hand figthing... without the 1h figther turning into a rogue.. i would love a figther with dualswords.

    - The first free companion... more choise from the beastfamily would be nice for those of us who dont like a humanoid companion

    - A respec for free first time, next time pay for it option.
    • Extra slots for out-of-use abilities to be dragged into ability slots for easy switching, organized like an inventory bag. I would prefer the extra slots to be on the bottom right, in a little vertical rectangular holding box between the inventory and the consumables.

    - 2 more free charecter slots (or atleast one) I really want to try out some classes without having to pay for extra slots or deleting my exsisting char

I dont care for PvP so got no choises there :D its fine it exsist but belive me im 9000000% happy that it is something u need to sign up for :D

I'd also like to add to your list a shared bank - shared between ALL characters. Added to that the ability to pool all the money, seals, zen, etc in there as well, for those bigger purchases.
A dream to some, a NIGHTMARE to others!

    Lolth be praised!

Added something to that effect to my list. It would be handy, as I have 5 characters, and could be passed as an incentive for players to buy character slots and bank slots instead of juggling multiple accounts.
