I keep hearing this new rumor of a new lockbox hitting the zen shop on the 20th. I cannot find anything by a Dev anywhere, does anyone know of a post/twitter/facebook that could clarify this?
Perhaps they are adding new things to the current lockbox (like more chants, perhaps companions) .. but a whole new box?

O.o Where'd you hear the rumor in the first place?
(Now, in STO at least, Cryptic would always start dropping new lock boxes with each major content release, but they all used the same keys... Not sure if they're doing this with NW or not...)

I have been hearing it all morning, in zone chat, mentioned in a pvp match, and someone in my guild brought it up about 30mins ago as well.
They all mentioned that enchanted key was to be "the key" so I do not really know what is going on.

Well let's put it this way...
I haven't been informed on it. And that tends to mean it likely didn't come from a developer. I don't get hand fed update information and not normally before it's made public but the CM's link basically all the news to us as FYI's.
It's not out of the realm of possibility but if it is then to the best of my knowledge it isn't public information yet. More than likely a rumor based off a claim somebody from CO/STO made based on their experience with PWE and Lockbox releases.

Eh, I'm pretty nonchalant at this point on Lockboxes. Nothing I ever say will change the fact they make money.
More will be added. Nothing can change the fact people love the tax on stupidity products. Even my own real life friends are loving the lockboxes and it makes me cringe.
All I can say is there is no official word, to the best of my knowledge, that more will be added on June 20th.
The claims are nothing more than a rumor but not one I would be shocked to become a reality.
That's about as far as I'll go into my personal opinion of lockboxes, though.

I know from CO that lock boxes, at least in that game, change frequently. It helps to keep the top prize rare, and creates a better market for the old lock boxes as many will still want the top prize from the boxes no longer dropping.
I don't recall there being special keys for each type of box though. So far as I remember they were generic.

That's how it is in STO. Each major content update, they change boxes. For special events, they bring back some of the other boxes so people have a chance to get the old stuff too.
It's not compleatly false, since we don't know what's in it....
And yea, little sarcastic gremlin told me about it.
Armored Spider Mounts are exclusive forever. Cryptic may have gone back on their words about it but Noel Holmes, PWE Community Leader, was extremely adamant about it. Even Zeke Sparks was pretty firm in one of the interviews he did that Spider Mounts will likely never be anywhere near as grand as the Armored Spider Mount if they were ever to be released to the public.

Good to know. I have about 300 of this things in my chars.

LOL.
Eitherway, I love lockboxes (sorry) just any type of thing I can open and it gives me presents (recovering from coffer addiction currently).
So if they do, I am all for it!
Ok I have to point out this is completely false.
I hope you meant it as a joke but we don't want people taking that claim seriously.
And we're the key! It's not in my mailbox yet Storm! Don't lie to me!!!!
^ This is what I'd expect.
