Lowering special effects especially in dungeons

I remember reading somewhere (but didnt think it mattered to my PC until now) - which advance options do I lower in order to make the huge special effects not lag my computer? Stuff like control wizard dailies can freeze the mob and my PC :D

    I lowered max physics debris and it helped. I started freezing on the final pirates boss fight. There were way too many adds. Lowered that and it didn't happen again. I still get some lag though, so I'd like to know another to lower, without making my game look bad.
    TL : DR? Then don't waste my time responding.

    Ah I need to try that. So far I toned down overall graphics to all time low which makes everything look like <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> but it does work
