Best solution is the need = bop, greed = boe

I saw only few ppl mentioned this, and since threads about upcoming BoP change have around 50 pages and are about everything:

after considering few other ways i think this is the perfect one:

if u choose need, item is binded to ur character, if u choose greed its bind on equip.

This actually would improve this game a lot

    Nope.

Unless other things were changed people would still need on things simply to sell them to vendors.

Which is why I suggested making needed items unsellable and nontransferable.

I thought they fixed this so you can't need on items that aren't for your class.

Anyway, I support this idea. Anything is better than the BoP proposal.

Some will, most won't. What the OP wrote will resolve A LOT of issues! There will always be @#oles in any game you play, but they are a minority! Besides, wouldn't you much rather see a ninja only get 10 silver by vendoring an item? Or would you rather see them get thousands of AD?

I personally would much rather watch them only get 10 silver from a vendor! Because at the same time, whenever I will be in a group with normal players, we will all roll Greed on the item that no one needs, and someone (maybe myself) will win an item that I could sell for several thousand AD at the AH!

Yea I made a post with this exact idea last night but seemed to only get one reply. There will always be those certain few people who will always try to ruin the game for others, and there's really nothing Cryptic can do about that. Although I keep bringing up to everyone on the game and tried bringing it up on the forums that I feel this is the best solution.

If a person really "needs" the item, then there should be no issue by the item being automatically bound if they roll need and win it. Although if a high priced item drops that is won via greed, there is no reason the party members shouldn't be able to get something out of it, and this would help keep the current economy intact. I think only getting 1.6g would be a large detterrent to people rolling need to make profit, instead of HAMSTER AD. Especially since it "seems" like the drop system doesn't like to drop what people actually need in the run(lol). This would also keep people already geared/experienced running the dungeons.

I love the fact if I run Castle Never at the moment on my toons with my guild, that we do 5 runs so everyone gets an item. So even if the loot system seems to want to taunt me with not dropping what I need on my toons, I can eventually buy the item without fighting the RNG drop system.

I don't see this happening. If a tr item was dropped and I didn't need it why would I choose greed? true I could get 40k ad out of it if I were to choose greed and win, however chances are I would choose need, it would bind on win and I would go sell it to the vender for some silver.

I think they should just put on their big boy pants and take the update out. Who gives a **** if a level 60 tr can just go spend 120k ad for a full set

I think the real issue here is their beginning to realize that if they allow us to make 500k ad a month running dungeons, we wont buy zen anymore and will just play the market, well...that's their fault for making it so you could get zen without paying

Here is the thing though. I think Cryptic would be shooting themselves in the foot if they implement BOP. Some players buy zen to trade for diamonds so they can buy themselves gear off the AH. I know quite a few players who have done this. If they make good gear BOP these same players wouldn't have purchased any zen at all to trade because there is no reason for them to if they can't buy the gear they wanted/needed.

BOP will kill this game. It will lead to less zen sales and fewer dungeon runs. The game will die if it's put in.

Well the amount of free AD you can get a day is limited. so I don't see it inflating the market. AD made from sales of item enter the system through the free AD u get from daily or people who pay zen for AD. So people would still buy zen. The amount of AD zen exchange rate and item price will adjust base on demand and supply.

Be a kind and respect Hardcore players.

Buying T2's for 20k AD is really annoying. Most of the time peoples saying they have 11k GS but when i check their equipment, they just have bulk of defense and hp on wrong classes like CW. You can get 11k with standart under 75k AD worth epic gears.

I've seen a full T2 geared TR just did 6m total damage in SPC which GWF did 12m and us CW's did 8-9m both.

By making epic items BoP, we will avoid those idiots.

BoP is necessary for the game.

Erm.. a decent step in the right direction. Make the vendor price not worth the "need".

Also, change it from BoP to BoA...Id rather be able to send some of this stuff to an alt.

I'd rather not as then you will have people who could use an item for the character they are playing miss out against people who just want it for an alt. If you win by Greed you could always pass it on though.
