Considering an Alt-GWF?

Hi,
Currently have a lvl 60 cleric. Curious about leveling an alt, possibly a GWF.

Is it fun?
Have they been "fixed"? Because I understand their damage and survivability is/was low.
Is it still very difficult early on in levels?
Are they shunned in T2/CN groups?
Are they "needed" for groups?
What is their nich

    I have a lvl 60 Sentinel and Instigator build so my alt is simply another GWF... I love the class personally and I have a blast with it in PvE and PvP, particularly post patch. :)

    I have lvl 60 destroyer path GWF and i personally love this class. Yes it dangeons they are a little useless, but since my build is more single target focused if i managed to explain that i can dis out a lot of dmg to strong creeps and i'm sturdy enough to fight them face to face. Also there is nothing more enjoyable than kill rogues on pvp on one rotation on my skills when they want to fight me 1v1 ;D

    if you take the time to learn the class and become familiar with the mechanics it'll be your favorite nuke by far.
