Absolute cheapest laptop that can run Neverwinter?

I'd like to ask for the community's assistance. My kids and I all play Neverwinter and enjoy it, and we already have good desktop PC's that run the game nicely. My teenaged son is thinking of buying a budget laptop for school use (under $400.00 if possible) and it would be a nice side benefit if it could also run the game. Bearing in mind that this would NOT be anyone's primary gaming machine, and that we are only looking to play on the occasional visit to the in-laws' and times like that, can anyone suggest a budget laptop that you know first-hand is capable of running the game? Obviously we'd use lowest possible settings, and we'd never attempt dungeons or any graphically demanding content on this machine...just Foundry quests, light zone questing, etc.

I'm researching various machines now, but thought I'd ask here for any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

The one I play on was about 400. maybe a little less, I don't remember.

it's a Dell Inspiron 3520. Windows 8, 2.4 Ghz Core i3, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 3000 graphics (1.6gb of Video RAM). currently my only computer.

runs the game pretty well on low graphic settings. I get 20 FPS in Protectors Enclave, and 40+ FPS everywhere else, with Graphics set Low.

suffice it to say that I will be shopping for an upgrade, but it works pretty well for now.

That is exactly the kind of information I was hoping to find, thank you very much. I'll look into that machine or something similar. I appreciate your help.

But seriously though... might be a lil too much gaming for the kids...

I mean its gd enuff u play at hme... but when ur out.. u shuld be out enjoying things outside the game..no?
I feel it kinda defeats the purpose of going out in the first place like in ur case to the in laws if ur kids are just gonna say "hi" and plonk themselves down to play neverwinter ... whers the human interaction?

    Just my 2 cents...

Anything new will likely work. MMOs are not very demanding on a computer.

Thanks for your concern. :) Both kids are "A" students, more than capable of spelling challenging words like "enough" and "you're". On summer break they hang out with the in-laws while we're at work, and a little gaming is perfectly fine with us. They still get plenty of human interaction.

Thanks for the various replies everyone, it's much appreciated.

Neverwinter can run on a pretty low end machine. But they probably won't enjoy the game fully. Core i3/5 should be able to run the game well..
