Can Cryptic shed any light on this? Suppose i have a T2 helm in my inventory. It is BoE now. Will it be BoP after patch? Or does this change only affect items that are DROPPED?

It has already been stated that items that are already unbound won't change.

    It won't be BPE.

So you better save it and sell later for 2,000,000 AD or more.

    You are rich man.

Existing BoE drops will stay BoE as legacy items. This has already been confirmed on preview. Only new drops will become BoP

The haves suddenly will have ultra rare items worth millions. Everyone else gets to suck eggs.

So here is what i want to know. I have 7.2 mil AD. What should i do? If i think it about it thoroughly i have conflicting thoughts. this change will restrict people to gather a huge sum of AD. So we are forced to gather AD through refining which is a 24k per day max.

In other words it takes 44 days to get 1 million. So without trading items through the AH, i have no idea how this will turn out in the matter of inflation/deflation.

But on the second thought. If i buy some CN weapons now, it will be the only CN items left for sale on AH.

They become worth a whole lot of AD.

And where are people getting the AD from? For example me? Would i buy a Castle Never Orb with my 7 mil? Nope i already have it.

Would average Joe buy my unobtainable Castle Never Orb for 5 mil? nope, it takes 220 days farming that through the 24k AD cap.

So how is it getting more value?

The thing is there is already enough AD in circulation for people to spend 1 mil + on a CN item.

Someone who plays the auction house (provided there is somethign worse selling after BoP) could amass a large amount of AD. ANother scenario would be the Zen seller using hte zen/ad exchange to get the AD together. Then there is also those that have already farmed out t2/cn items and already have substantial AD, perhaps they would buy it for an alt.

Even if a CN item wasn't selling less after a BoP change as it currently is, that would mean AD is more scarce, thus relatively speaking they will still be worth a whole lot of AD.

This issue really boils down to supply and demand. The supply of, for example, BoE CN items will be very scarce and everytime someone buys one and equips it, that will further reduce the supply. The demand for a CN item after a BoP change can only be guessed at, but my guess is that it will be a very very strong demand for these items, with casual players seeking them because they don't have 2+ hours to set aside for a 1/10 chance (or worse, depending on the group composition) at getting the item provided their group can actually down the draco.

Of course me claiming that today's BoE items will be worth alot of AD after a BoP change is merely my own theory, but I would personally strongy disagree with anyone that claims otherwise.
