Level 60 Green Items

Does anyone bother to ID these? I've been id'ing everything up to 59, but they're basically vendor trash, and I can't justify 125 AD on something that returns gold, a virtually useless resource. Unless I happen to be rarely carrying a Greater ID scroll, I just jettison these out of my inventory sight unseen. Am I missing something?

ID them to sell. You can make good money off them. Essentially you're trading AD for Gold.

I suppose that depends on whether the 125 (or is it 145) ADs per ID scroll is worth the 10 or so silver they sell for when ID'd. The scrolls drop at a very low rate from doing dungeons and such...

It depends on how many ID Scrolls I have.

Doing Foundry Quests supplies me with plenty of ID Scrolls so if I want to earn a few extra bucks I will use them but if I spend the day doing dungeons which typically don't drop ID Scrolls I usually just sell them for the pittance amount.

I've found after level 60 few items which drop unidentified are worth much of anything anyway so I've come to consider the ID Scrolls as extra gold more so than anything else. :(

My wife says she always gets a ton of ID scrolls from the Foundry as well, not sure if that will convince me to do any foundries though. Mostly I find them annoying. If I had the scrolls I'd use them, but my issue is as a cleric I just don't find gold to be a valuable resource. I can heal myself, and there just flat isn't anything you can buy with it that is worth a darn, especially weighed against AD.

    20 scrolls cost 2500 AD.

One PvP Daily gives you 3000.

What are we talking about here?

Economics, mostly. I'm not going to waste valuable bag space and AD on something I certainly don't need any more of (gold, nothing to spend it on), just like if I can throw a group of trash mobs off a cliff, I'm certainly not going to waste my time fighting them.

Ah sure, if you don't need gold then there's no point in picking it up. But...you'll always need gold for potions.

Cleric. I've got stacks and stacks of the things, to the point where I throw them away now. All the buff potions I need I get from invoking.

I haven't played any of the other classes. Is that what gold is used for then? Injury kits and heal pots?

    Yes.

High level players also sell stuff for gold by spamming general chat. It's valuable at level 60, useless at every other rank.
