Perfect Lightning enchant VS perfect vorpal enchant

So on my server there has been some debate. Which is the better enchant for a rogue I am using the perfect enchants as a best case scenario.

Lightning enchant: +20% extra damage and chains 3 times. On my rogue using an ancient dagger that's about 500 damage or so with a min of about 140 ish damage per hit. It has a range.. That is on the high end of course as well. It chains 3 times so with every single hit that's an extra 1500 damage, assuming there are other mobs there and it's not single target, again 1500 is on the high end.

Vorpal enchant: This is assuming you have a 50% crit rate, Most rogues don't go that high but again I am assuming on the high end. This adds ZERO extra damage on hits, but a 35% bonus to critical hits. So 50% of the time you hit 35% harder on a single target.

To me, the math says lightning is the better enchant by far for rogues due to it going off with every single hit and the 20% bonus to damage.

I would like to have a discussion on this, maybe I am looking at this wrong. I am NOT saying the vorpal enchant is not worth it either, It very obviously is a good enchant. But, since we all know in every dungeon there are not many single target things to fight, there are many mobs at once which tells me lightning is the better choice.

Lets all have a real discussion on this, I want to hear other rogues views on this.

    I think easier way to think of this is, bleed is affected by vorpal, at least I think, and lightning enchantment isn't. So basically scenario goes as following: you kill bosses faster with vorpal, so vorpal is better since rogues are mostly at the moment about how to kill high hp mobs the most efficiently.

    If the bleed gets changed, then this might actually be a debate, but with the current way the rogue works, anything that boosts bleed damage is almost automatically winner for rogues.

    I do not believe bleed is affected by vorpal, Not from what I have seen in my testing anyways.

    I cannot deny or confirm this since I don't have any weapon enchants, but if it is the truth pve rogues will instantly lose over half of the benefit it gives. And why over half, because you don't really wanna maintain non-crit bleed on a boss monster.

    I thought the lightning enchant add x% of your weapon dmg, not total dmg to your attacks. If it is the former and not the latter, then I'd assume everyone would use it, or should at least.

    Perfect Vorpal is +50% Crit. Severity, not 35%. Greater Vorpal is +37%, so I'm not sure where you're getting your 35% from.

    Vorpal is better for Rogues. And yes, it does affect your bleed crit. damage. Lightning enchant is only better for GWF because they're constantly doing AoE damage. Some CWs that go AoE spec would benefit more from Lightning as well, but they'd be better off with Plague Fire if they want to actually help the team and not pad their Paingiver stats.

    as a rogue that just got his first weapon enchant im enjoying the dmg from plague fire and may go all the way with it, mainly because it gives that smoky effect to the blade

    120% crit severity with feats, buff and race
    170% with p. vorpal

    10k hit -> 22k crit
    10k hit -> 27k crit

    23% extra dmg on crit

    without feats etc its 17,5k vs 22.5k -> 28,5% extra dmg on crit
