Level 59 running around in Underdark. With the changes to AS (mainly the HoT part) and only partially healed from it due to our constant debuff (and why doesn't AS crit now as a HoT?), I discovered that having to kite in an area where there are mobs packed so closely together is a death sentence. Aggroing 3 Assassins (not by choice) now mean I'm constantly popping potions (which incidentally heal more than any of my healing abilities and are on a shorter cooldown!). If there are any other mobs then I'm toast. Is this patch to push us to use more potions and injury kits?
I was having fun leveling up but now? This is have become very unfun. I know others are complaining about the dungeons and the effect AS will have on the party but now even soloing sucks. Luckily I only have another half level to 60.
I never even used AS when leveling but it's more about picking your fights also the mind flayer "dogs" are more dangerous then any drow ......

When I hit 50 on my cleric I grabbed AS. Didn't seem to make me any more survivable than my FF had before, but sure did cut my dps down. I went back to using FF. The other night I hit 53 and went into a Foundry. Decided to play with AS again and survivability was awesome. I was completely invulnerable to the mobs. But dps was atrocious. Mobs took forever to kill. And since I could survive just fine with the FF heals anyway as well as getting more damage on target with it. . . . I'll use AS in dungeons, but not solo.
FWIW, when I was running through Whispering Caverns on my CW, I spent some time duo'd with a DC who'd been doing fine solo before we grouped up. He wasn't using AS either. FF, Sunburst, Daunting Light -- same as I use on my cleric. Perhaps try this combination of powers instead?
