Test server DPS testing

I decided to dust off the high prophet set and do some DPS testing.

First thing to mention is that the high prophet set is indeed fixed and doesn't debuff friendly targets. This applies to the plaguefire enchant as well.

Templars Domain

I've got some decent ARP pieces and decided to test this out to see how the damage went. Unfortunately, this ability is bugged. It has some type of internal cooldown on it. I'm not sure of the exact length of the cooldown, but it is well over a minute. I didn't test the exact length of the cooldown, but I'd guess it is at 5 minutes. So a 5 second buff on a 5 minute cooldown is garbage.

Focused Poise

The damage buff is nice, but it is still way behind sacred flame in divinity production. Sacred flame gives a bar in 6 seconds, while lance is at 9 seconds. It was roughly at 10 seconds before the change, it just needs to have the divinity buff upped by about 30% more.

Disciple of divine lore

The proc chance seems to have been buffed, at least from what I remember testing it long ago. I can pretty much keep this up non-stop if attacking.

There seems to be something odd with it though, when I first log in it takes it a while to proc at all, but when it does, it procs all the time afterwards. Just kind of odd.

Cycle of change

This appears to be bugged. It is not consumed by using a power. That or it is simply not upping the damage. I've no real way to test a damage buff other than a large sample size, which will take to long.

In order for it to be useful in a DPS spec though, you have to have a heal slotted. The sun burst heal will proc it, so you can use Sun burst, but a pure DPS spec should have daunting light instead of sun burst. I'd like to see it proc on damage crit instead of a heal crit.

Rising Hope

Seems to have a higher proc rate, but could just be imagining it.

Overall some positive changes. I'd like to see the divinity from lance increased some more and the cooldown on Templars domain fixed.

I was able to get a 45k hammer, which was nice.

Some questions regarding a DPS build:

    1. What's the use? I've been running a fairly offensive spec, but so far I've had a hard time feeling impactful. CWs don't really need my help with trash (though Searing Light + Daunting Light cleans house) and I often feel lost in boss fights unless my group requires me to abuse double AS.

    2. What Power setup do you recomment? I've been running with Lance/Brand; Daunting/Searing/Divine Glow; Terrifying Insight/Holy Fervor for trash and either Forgemaster's or Break the Spirit over Searing Light for bosses. Didn't know DoDL had such a high proc rate, though. Will DPS Clerics be forced to run a second AS now, due to the duration "fix"?

    3. Does Cycle of Change work with Divinity Forgemaster's Flame?

    4. Is Divinity Divine Glow fixed for the test realm? Had some people say yes, others said no. Patch notes don't mention it.

    5. With Templar's Domain being the way it is, do you recommend building Armor Penetration at all?

In PVE there is no use. Even if the cleric is pure damage spec to the detriment of everything other classes will crush them. Not only that they will be scorned and shunned by fellow players who expect a healer. It's only useful in PVP where it can really surprise people who aren't expecting the cleric to smack them back hard.

The only "smack them back hard" ability we have is Daunting Light. You can hit Clerics and GWFs with that. It's telegraphed so heavily, CWs and Rogues can just dodge out, and GF will probably block it. Yes, this includes the instant-cast version. What we can do is throw some DoT's in their general direction (that can also be dodged! Really Cryptic?) and hope we don't get blown up because we don't have Astral Shield.

This is purely for PvP. A single target dps class isn't really needed in PvE, especially since TRs do it much better. However, a single target dps class in PvP, it performs well now that all of the instant cleanses are gone. I went like 20-2 it my test game. If I get all three dots up, they are basically screwed.
