Hey guys! I have been playing GWF and only GWF since CBW3. I understand we are the best AoE class and getting a buff for dps. My question lies with this. Has anyone tried to tank yet with these "so called threat buff/fixes?" I tried different specs/gear combos and yet im not able to hold agro. I even did slam with all sure strike and my encounters for 5 seconds on a boss, but yet after 5 complete seconds of dps i couldnt keep agro of 1 target. So i decided maybe Single target isnt for us for tanking. I went to CN to see if im able to tank trash mobs. Totally unsuccessful.
If you have tried to tank and succeeded please tell me what you did. I am just curious to see if anyone has been able to tank. Thanks! take care friends

I've started a thread for number theorycrafting, but as it stands:
On live we face twofold issues.
1.) Healing threat is absurd and applies to every target individually, meaning it's nearly impossible to beat healing threat in terms of agro generation.
2.) All the threat increasing skills in sentinel are broken and do nothing.
Both of these have been fixed in the big patch on Preview, and according to the people who have gone and tested it, post-update we're capable of holding agro off of everything short of a dedicated GF; Which is how it should be.
The Titan's set is good for full defense stats, but we'll still need to do damage to hold and gain aggro.
So now I ask, is 2/4 AoW and 2/4 Vigilant set still the best way to go? or does anyone suggest a different armor set to use?
Would using the Titan set as a full defense set then just using Lifesteal and Regen (for healing aggro) and Tenebrous enchants for damage work ?
Further on that note I'm amazed by going with more defensive stats how little I'm having to use potions, and the kill time is still about the same (slow still thoguh lol). Keep in mind I'm only 25 on my sentinel build char
I haven't tested full Titan, but I can totally see this working. Power is nearly a useless stat for GWF, all you need is good weapon damage and make up for the loss of arp/crit/recovery with jewellery and potentially an augment companion and your threat should be fine.
Besides the fact CaGI will deliver mobs to your feet while wms, daring shout, and slam will glue them to you.
