PVP changes - enough to make people not PVP at all.

Some PVP changes that will really mess up PVP.

A. We will no longer be able to kick people in PVP. - Yes I know people have abused this and screwed people over, but I rarely ever see it happen. The problem and why I am going to call this stupid...BOTS..bots are by far the worst problem in PVP to date, and we just now lost our only defense against them. If we get bots on our team, we are screwed. Which means...often.

B. Rewards lessened for losing in PVP. - Normally..I would be ok with this, but due to part A, now we will lose A LOT thanks to bots that we can't remove from the group.

I have enjoyed PVP in this game, but once this patch goes into effect, I think I am done until they fix their bot issue.

C Players must now participate in a PvP match to qualify for its rewards. - Glad people won't get rewarded for it, but if someone goes afk (SWTOR did same thing and afkers still happened plenty) now we can't kick them either....soooo....yeah. Great.

My question for the devs would be..whats more frustrating? The fact once in awhile you get kicked for no reason in PVP, or you repeatedly get stuck with bots on your team and have no chance of winning?

I have PVPed like mad in this game, and I have been removed from group less times than I count on my hand, I have had to remove bots from the team, or ask the leader to remove them, every single match.

For those of you who don't know about the "BOTS" situation....I imagine power levelers or what not from these gold farmer sites, have a script, that has the character which is wearing very low level gear, run into the center of the PVP map, and can detect when players are nearby, and the script causes them to attack. If they die, they just run straight back to center spot where the most action is, and engaged anyone near them, course they die super fast cause they have gear from the beginning of the game.

I agree with the OP, what are the anti-bot plans.

I don't like the reduced rewards portion myself. Luckily gear is cheap on AH so if I start another character I'd probably just buy the gear rather than trying to farm glory. I'll only be playing PvP for the daily so in the end it doesn't matter if my team wins or loses. Tired of trying to explain basic principles like "fight on the cap" to people who just plain ignore you anyway.

Hey man, did you know that in a mmo you could group up?

Yea, pretty awesome I know right?

If you use this secret mmo feature and group up with 5 players, you get this werid bug where bots are never in your group!

    The changes are fine.

The fact we have to spam zone chat to form groups is pretty sad though.

They REALLY need to fix the lfm/lfg system, so we can form up for pvp, avoid bots. And preferably, select who we fight.

If we could do a short 10 second convo with our opponents before we fought, we would never fight bots and the gold farmers would give up. (and the community would improve 100 fold)

random isnt fun. Un random it, improve everything.
-Group tools in dire need of improvement, please read and reply to improve our community.
    -Epic Dread Vault Crushed.
Characters (Dragon): Axer (60 Guardian, Leader of Crush It!), Controller (60 Wizard), Warlocker (60 Warlock)

Wow, I'm glad your way is the Only True Way(tm). The Devs are mean and nasty, tricking us by putting in a queue system that should never be used. If a feature doesn't work, it's because we don't know how to have fun Your Way - we shouldn't try and get the feature to work, that's Wrong.

Less tongue-in-cheek: yes, we can group up ahead of time, but that shouldn't be the only way to experience it. We can fix the bot problem without taking anything away from those who go in pre-grouped. Why are you against it?

If 5-man premades was the only way to circumvent the botting problem, why implement a no-kick option to begin with? Wouldn't that just be adding something that people wouldn't be using anyway?

Ok ignoring the child like beginning of your response, I agree that LFG system also needs work, but this patch doesn't address the main problem right now which is bots, premades are not always possible or a viable options, as players are spread out in many zones, therefore can't just utilize this wonderful idea of yours. So the point in this thread still stands, fix the bots before you make changes like these.

    Hello all.

    Respectfully this is my view.
I don't talk in forums...cos simply, i don't like to talk much. My ability to even start a new thread is not even there. And i don't really care.

However. I feel strongly enough about this to post.

    The pvp exp nerf.
    This is not entirely fair.
Same as how i respect the ppl who like to quest, please respect my opinion.

While i acknowledge the rest of the changes are fair and needed. Why is the exp ner on pvp needed?
I for one, and there are many others, don't really enjoy having to run around for hours doing dungeouns and quests, we simply are not interested. Is it wrong?
If so, why is it wrong?

So far your system is very fair. It gives the roleplayers and fans etc etc, a chance to level via quests, and d&D stuff...whatever they call it.
And it gives the pvp fans the ability to level up also, having our fun fighting.

What was wrong about this system that u felt the need to change?

You now are implementing stuff soon that will make sure ppl actively take part in pvp should they wish to pvp.....Sigh, they will write scripts to auto attack, some already have....but nevertheless...you are trying to combat it. Fine. This is fair.
But why the exp nerf to genuine pvp fans?

I'm so sorry to state my opinion....but to me and many others...your quests are boring and long. Bad rewards. (except the 2 free bags, which is what alot of ppl only do)
Why are u forcing it down our throats?
We do not want to quest, we have no interest in the long winded travelling around the world storyline.....we just want to fight and have fun in our own terms.

Please rethink your decision and do not dictate to us what we see as fun and what is not.
Another side note, incase your staff didn't think of it. if we like to lvl purely on pvp, where do we get gear/ How do we get it? We don't quest, so no drops...how? Simple...we BUY IT. Money for you.

Thats all i have to say.
Before i sign off....again let me say, the rest of your changes are good and bravo to you. Thank you.
No need for quotes anymore. Lost City's eyes are wide open now. Thank god!b:victory

I agree the XP nerf, and also the glory nerf, is not needed. What does it hurt if people level up via PvP?

its a mmo rpg tittle not a moba therefore pvping aint the major way to lvl up /gear up and they are reinforcing that ideia currently pvp gives way too much xp and thats why its being reduced.

I think everyone agree bots are annoying... as are afkers. I expect the changes they make to diminish a bit the bot problem but i doubt, unless all reward are removed, bots will be gone.

I would take an original approach in mmos to the bot problem ... capchas ... When you spawn in the BG bin you are presented 3 floating runes (similar to the wizard runes in Pirate) that you need to type on you keyboard or a ready rune that you need to target and click. The bots should get a hard time getting that one right and you can then tag them and bag them. As for afkers, they should get vote kicked ...
