dungeon delve events way too infrequently

the majority of the playerbase who have reached lvl60 mainly will wait on DD to start to get the most value out for their time. but DD events are just way too infrequent.

today i logged in at around 9am. and the next dd is at 2pm. thats almost 5 hours. after that one, the next is at 8pm. another 6h later. what do the devs expect from me now? that i wait 5h to play 1h? ... or that i wait a total of 11 hours to play 2h?

i dont know if devs noticed but its summertime. its almost 30 degree out there. do they expect us to idle hours and hours just to play a few?

please make the DDs more frequent. instead every 5-6h make them every 3-4h, especially in summertime.

thanks.

Dungeon Delves event should be changed to 1 chest a day per account/character. This would solve exploits like dd chest farming and also people wouldn't have to fit their live to DD clock.

I'm waiting for implementing some real solution as clearly current state of this event does not please most playerbase.

I don't like your solution, because now i can play two dd and after i will be able to play only one. Also if i see that dd event is too far, i'll just log out and do some other things. (that is a problem of course, since i don't play a game)

I think i can make a better suggestion. What if we had a chance to get epics from the chest, but with much smaller chance than during DD event? That will solve the problem, when u can finish the dungeon outside dd and get ninja-looted, and end up without any valuables u could get. Chest would reward everyone with some items (like t1 for t2 dungeons maybe) and there still will be chance to get a good loot outside of DD event.

personally i hate the whole bonus on a clock system. asking people to revolve their life around your video game clock is absurd. i have a life and things i am responsible for. it really puts me off, like you expect me to be a no lifer who can play 24/7.

in my opinion it should be removed.

give the bonus on your first run of the day. the end.

i know people who can play all day and night would hate that, but honestly if someone can play all day and night chances are they dont work and are not your big zen buyers anyways.

It is a matter of how much value item from the chest actually has. With the current state of the economy, spoiled by exploits, and with t1 stuff in t2 chests, items from dd event chest do not have much value anyway. That's why people want to abuse the system to get as many chests as possible.

But imagine there is another tier of gear, unfarmed by exploits and therefore pretty valuable. Then you probably wouldn't say 1 chest a day isn't alright. It would be awesome to go for the chest anytime you want, not when the game allows you.

there is another solution to appease both sides of the argument as well.

a previous poster said it was a 6 hour interval between DD bonus hours.

change it to you get the bonus on your first run of the day, and then 6 hours later you can get the bonus again.

that way people who have lives and responsibilities can come on and play when they have time, and the people who can play their lives away can get a bonus every 6 hours.

    everyone is happy.

I am not. You don't get it. With your solution we still won't have any motivation to play dungeons more than twice a day. And with my suggestion u will be able to get a decent reward from every single run (or at least a chance to get one)

I will not prepose a way to fix DD, but the rewards are to much. Even without preclearing you can get 2 dungeons per event. Thats 10 peices of epic loot given out per party. This has flooded out AH and destroyed the player based economy. Its the reason that for under 100k AD you can gear yourself in full epics, and most of that money is spent on enchants. Something really needs to be done. A special reward for DD, but not something that makes it worthless to do dungeons at other times.

Doing dungeons at other times is not worthless, it is just less profitable..

The simplest solution, would be to remove the dungeon delve event altogether, no bonus chest, no extra loot, no reason to not do dungeons at any other time of day.

Me, I enjoy doing dungeons, for the fun of doing dungeons, not for the random piece of not particularly useful loot that I'm going to get at the end of it. ( I know it is possible to get really cool loot out of the chest, but thus far, I have yet to see it )
I reject your reality and I substitute my own!

Removing it entirely with no chest feels too much. Once a day can't hurt.

Also do something about the dungeon daily only being one specific dungeon at 60.

I think people already got used to it, so it won't be a very popular fix. And a lot of epics is not always bad, t2 epics are still expensive and t1 are just entry level gear. What they need to do is just give us more epic items, or maybe legendary items - and that will solve your problem with flooded auction. Rare items are still rare

With all of the HAMSTER involved with any Dungeon runs I've bowed out. One to many times I've had a party "Leader" boot me from a run right as the last fight ends. Nope. DD'd just encourage this even more. I am not spending my entertainment time filling someone else's bags.

I would like to encourage the Dev's to put Tier Gear as a reward, in the last of the four Foundry Quests needed for the daily. That way a Solo PvE player can progress without debasing themselves in DD's.

I find your solution a bit faulty and unnecessary as well. That is way too restrictive considering the fact that DD only seldom occurs. This would take out all of the hard work that people put into finding valuable items in Dungeons which they could use themselves or sell in AH to gain AD to purchase the items they need.

If Neverwinter actually followed your solution then I'm done playing the game. No offense, it's just too harsh.

    No offense taken.

But... it is the current system I find harsh as it interferes too much with people's real life. Working/learning people don't have the time to run the dd event more often than once a day - and that is when they are lucky to log in around the time event starts. Sometimes even this is not the case.

One chest a day would be sufficient reward for being an active player. If someone oppose this idea because he wants to run 2 or 3 during whole day because he has nothing to do... Well...if you got so much time what do you need chests for? You should already be geared and wealthy.

personally I'd like to see them do away with the timed DD events and perhaps give chests a small chance of spawning every run 10% for example so that there's always an incentive to play.

Like a lot of the posters here I work full time and its a contnual frustration of mine to try and catch a DD event when I actually have some free time. As for trying to fix the issue could it not work to how prayers do for Astral Diamonds?

First time you do the dungeon in a certain period you get your big reward.
Second time have a reduced chance of epic reward
    Third time a futher reduction
    And so on

I would suggest something similar with the Daily Quests as well. At level 60 asking people to do 4 PvP matches, 4 foundary quests, 3 skirmishes and a dungeon seems a bit extreme... Well unless you are young and do not have to work that is :)

Its a bonus you dont have to do it..... I got most of my t2 swash set by just running the instances and not on DD. I only got 1 piece of gear i could use during DD and it was a neck.

Very few, if any, other MMO have such a thing as a Dungeon Delve ... and yet they prosper without it. Why? Because they include the possibility of winning epic loot in every dungeon run. If every dungeon delve offers a percentage possibility for epic loot (and it doesn't have to be a great percentage), then people will do them all day long. It only stands to reason that if the chance for epic loot is only given during DD's, then that is what people will want to do, and skip the dungeon otherwise. There are some MMO game mechanics that have prevailed without complaint to this day that are not broken and it is ok to leave them alone. This is one them. This constant need to somehow reinvent the wheel can be counter-productive. Sometimes it is really ok to leave well enough alone.

i reckon a 20% chance for chests to spawn would work imo

True that , considering I mostly always get only rings and belts ( horrid rings and belts ) from the chests in T2 and not a single piece of gear yet I would say that DD work for some people and for some people doesn't . So nerfing the event won't do anything but making the last people that are stuck with this game to leave like the other 80 % of the population did :D

You can play 4 chests per day, those chests give really god things so it cant be so easy dude, don't complain about that, its fine how it is, the rewards are too powerful to be so frequently!
