Yes, they provide you about 150-200 extra stats (that will give literally nothing, not even 1%, and no not needed because i already have 9300 for cn), but their bonuses... well, useless. What is 900 recovery or 400 defense? Not even 1%. I can also wear two parts of one set, and two from another, and have 800 extra stats permanently instead of useless bonuses, but...
If i use Fatebender's set i can make EVERY my cast do additional 15% damage. Isn't that a way better then bonuses that t2 gear will ever give me?
But, here is the problem - some not very smart people want to take in dungeons people with only 10k+ gs... how can i explain them fast, that gs doesn't matter if you have that awesome passive?

easy, just get a set that puts you at 10k gs, then, switch out after the dungeon starts.

Not so smart people think that Wizards are a DPS only class.
Edit: Use shadow weaver for the party benefit also.
This is why +15% damage for every your cast is way more then every stupid stat bonus that t2 set can provide.
And weaver is just a joke. 113 life steal? Oh, you maybe will heal 3 hp from each hit with it. 5% severity? I am not a priest to buff team, and every priest's buff is better...

Shadow Weaver can actually give your group 160% crit severity right now, and after the patch it will still give the party 30% crit severity. It's miles better than 15% damage from the t1 fatebender.
So is not a GWF and TR and yet, they buff teams.
I would pick CW that adds synergy to the group and improves it all over the one who thinks he is a TR with magic missile every day.
Why do you think you need 15% extra dmg anyway? Does that help you knock adds in any way?

So i need one set for pvp with best enchantments, and another one - t2 for pve (with some random lvl5 ench just to up gearscore), just because someone thinks that few more stats will do a lot in combat?

You're not a TR who tops the DPS charts neither even with that 15% extra damage with all your spells. You don't even get to 1v1 the boss the whole time since your main role is to control the adds. Shadow Weaver helps rogues kill the boss faster which is the goal of the whole dungeon.
But hey, don't listen to me. I know you just want to dish out DPS anyway.

typical T1 CW..try doing T2, you wouldnt need damage
Recovery > Crit > Power
