yes, you can sell bags and pets and outfits as long as you dont use them first.... accountwide objects like mounts are bound to character but just about everything elese from dyes to dresses is sellable in fact a lot of people will buy dyes and dresses and resell them in AH after using what they need. that way people who say just want a mask dont have to pay for the entire set.
And right now due to the rapid fluxtuation of the zen/ad rate and everyone trying to undercut eachother you can accually get a half way decent price.
and good to know about the bags, Most of them will say bind on equip or bind on pickup.

You can trade/sell any bags you've bought from the store whether you've previously used them or not you just need to empty / double click them to turn them back into an unbound inventory item first.
Lol, are you poking the dragon? Watch how many people chime in with how butthurt they are about the Zen Shop prices.
But on topic, they really need to be more clear on the bound status of items before you buy them. I'm not sure if they bind or not...
No, I genuinely want to know if I can get a present for a friend or if I'm going to buy a non-refundable item that is bound to me.
I'm not interested in peoples whinge regarding the cash shop, so their comments will be ignored. :P

I can sort of see the sense in mounts / companions being character bound since they've been trained by that particular character and I don't have an issue with it personally but let's not kid ourselves there's definitely more than a faint wiff of cash grabbing in the air on this point.

Can someone else confirm this? Give the lack of inventory space at higher levels I was thinking of buying a bag for each character as I make level up and then sell any bags from characters that I am not using anymore.

The outfits from the zen store come in 'packs'. You buy it, you get a present box looking item. You can open at that point or sell in AH as a pack, but if you try to open will get a warning that if you equip the items it contains, they will be soulbound. However, once you open and the 3 items are in your inventory, you can choose to equip and soulbound 2 and sell/trade the other piece, or sell all 3 pieces separately.

No, the items are all bind on use/equip. So once you equip the bag, it is that character's forever.
That is incorrect. You can unequip the bag and it's not bound to you. You can mail it to another character, sell it on the AH or trade it with another player -- at least the Greater Bags of Holding behave this way, and I don't see why the regular ones would be any different.
To my understanding the only things that remain bound to you if you equip them are companions and fashion items. As was stated before mounts are account-bound so you cannot sell them either.

This forum is a wealth of misinformation, I'm continually surprised by the amount of wrong answers that are presented as fact by a minority of players.

Oh my god, what an insightful and useful post.
Misinformation comes from, wait for it, being misinformed! What a ****ing shocking revelation. I had assumed being uncommon and rare, the bags had the BOE tag like the rest of the zen store items. But thanks for totally editing out, ignoring the actual factual information I posted after.

What the heck is the difference between "bound" and "unbound" items?
You will learn very quickly the difference between "bound" and "unbound" and how it applies to practically everything that can be placed into your inventory bag, including currencies.
Bound means the item is "bound" to your character. You are stuck with it until you use it up (consumables), sell it to an NPC vendor, or discard it (throw it away). It is impossible trade or sell it to other game players, including your alternate accounts.
Unbound means this item can be traded or sold to other game players, NPC vendors or discarded. It can be given to other players, including your alternate accounts through in-game email, or placed on the auction exchange where other players can buy it for Astral Diamonds.
When does an item become "bound" or "unbound"?
All items you pick up while playing (loot drops, chests, etc.) are generally unbound while in your inventory. However, as soon as you equip or otherwise use the item you will be warned that this action will bind the item to your character. As long as it remains unused and never equipped, most items will remain unbound and can be traded or sold to other players, including your alternate characters. But once you use an item (such as equipping it) it becomes permanently bound to your character.
Can anything ever be "unbound" from my character?
Yes. Some items, such as Zen-Store Companions and Astral Diamonds, can be "unbound" once bound to your character. It will cost you some Astral Diamonds to unbind such things. But once unbound they can be traded or sold to other players, including your alternate characters. An example would be training and leveling a companion to its maximum stats, then unbinding it and selling it in the auction house for Astral Diamonds.

the only person that edited anything was you who posted one response then completely re-wrote it to something else after a couple of people corrected you and realised your mistake.

just wow, unbelievable.....
No, you specifically edited out the correct information in my quote. And yes, when corrected and I double checked while I was ingame, I went back and edited my post to remove conflicting facts from multiple posters. You're pathetic. You should remove your avatar. Nobody wants to see you.
