Banned from typing in Guild chat

I have a small guild of friends that have been playing games with for years. About half an hour ago, i was guild chatting with my friend (who lives maybe 2 miles from my house) about gold spammers in Protectors Enclave and i typed their website name in guild chat and was given a warning not to post known phishing sites in chat. So i put spaces in the name and did away with punctuation, as soon as i hit enter i was logged off and banned.

WTF?

Essentially, because typing the name of the gold seller website is advertising the gold seller web site, and you did it again after being warned.

When you get unbanned, don't do that again.

That's sort of like sticking your foot in a fire a second time to see if it gets burned again.

Man, have you got no sense? To do it, twice, and then complain about being banned. Mate, you should be banned again for complaining!

I find the fact you are puzzled absolutely hilarious! Don't do anything that stupid again and you won't get banned.

Wouldn't put money on him getting unbanned. Typing the name of a gold seller doesn't get you a chat ban, it's an account ban.

He can petition for restoration of course. But since he actually committed the fault, it's not a mistake.

^Yea, i doubt he will be unbanned without taking any action.
He needs to notify customer support and explain what happened.

And if it is his first offense I would imagine that they would unban him right away.

This is a ban not a suspension.

*facepalm* *double-facepalm* *sigh* Alestein, I guess you learn the lesson. The very funny thing is that you tried to camouflage the offending site like this would fool the algorithms that search for this. Next you tried to get sympathy from everyone in the forums. Really? Really?!!! The forums is a ruthless arena not for the faint of heart. Take you lumps and apologize for being _______ (fill in the blank with the appropriate term you deserve).

By the way, how much did your friends make fun of you? LoL ;)

lol i tried to camouflage the site name with spaces and other punctuation like the gold farmers spamm gets away with, but i dont now what parameters the auto-ban bots have so i got owned. Ah well, I'm sure i'll get my account back. I think a bunch of the children on this board misunderstand and then just launch into the usual internet trolling. No lumps taken. Just being honest. I think my "WTF?" is justified since this auto-banning **** is ridiculous given the guild chat circumstances and lack of spamm. That **** never happens in other MMO's.

Nice strict chat filters that help none whatsoever in terms of cutting down on spamm. Flame away with fanboyness if you please.
