Always right as I get the battle under control

that's when the lag kicks in. Every. Single. Time. Then, all of the sudden:
a) You went from full health to near death without even getting to see how (maybe in super-fast motion kinda)
b) If you tried to move out of the way during the lag, think again! All your movement commands during a lag-spike are ignored! Haha jokes on you!

I just can't see continuing under such an unfair system. You guys mentioned in the state of the game you were tracking when & where these were happening. Great! How about if you can't actually fix this you reimburse us every time we get a lag spike of over 2 seconds? I'm thinking, a free injury kit and 4 free current-level healing potions sounds about fair. Otherwise, it seems like you're just going to keep killing my character while I have no control over anything. Does that sound fun to anyone?

Thoughts?

Get a better connection. I rarely lag, if ever.

Hmm. So, because you don't lag, my connection is bad. Are you sure you have enough information to make that conclusion?

OP: Do a /netgraph 1 while in-game. You want a "well-mowed lawn" appearance - spikes indicate lag. Now, and I know this is tedious and annoying, but try bypassing your router/wireless and going direct to your modem or what have you, and see if that helps. If it doesn't then you can start pointing your finger at Cryptic. Also, try the different proxy settings from the launcher.

Thanks for the advice, I've given it a try. Unfortunately, my modem and router are one in the same, so I can't do anything about that. I tried changing to US proxy server as well, but I saw my normal behavior pretty quickly. What was interesting though was that the ping readout actually stopped updating during the lag-spike. Other graphics (turning and moving) continued to update as normal.
Could very well be a problem on my side, as otherwise I'd expect to see a lot more complaints.
