DPS GF Gear moving in to lvl 60

Looking for a little feedback from some of the GF's that have done a few laps to lvl 60:

GF lvl 55 currently sitting at 3/4 pieces of the Valiant Warrior's armor set (still need the helm), to include the Shield and Sword. I've got a Brutal Scimitar in the bank, but other than that I haven't invested in anything major yet.

Play-wise, I'll be in off-Tank mode in my guild runs since we've got another lvl 60 GF in a pure tank spec, so I'm looking for the most economical gear buildout I can find while I grind out the Timeless Hero set.

Would like some feedback on a few things:

1. Is there a "Bargain Bin" lvl 60 gear set that's easy to acquire from the Auction House or the Tier 1 dungeons other than what I'm wearing?
2. Should I not be focusing on a single gear set, and try to go for two pieces each of different sets for the dual bonus?
3. Or screw the set bonuses if there's individual pieces of GF Power>ArmPen>Crit floating around where I can easily find them.

Until I can get my hands on the timeless set, I'd prefer not to waste a bunch of time or AD on something that will suck once I hit lvl 60.

Thanks in advance,

BeefSock

    You'll need:

    Rings
    Belt
    Neck

    Power/Crt/ArP - Offensive slot

I personally use double pyro rings, blue belt & a epic neck.

    Pyro's = 100k ea
    Belt = 20-30k
    Neck - 20k+

If you don't have a CAT or Ioun then save up for one of those and get one ASAP.

What the most cost effective way to enchant temporary gear solutions such as T1 stuff? If you don't mind me picking your brain.

Cheap Level 5 enchants or don't enchant at all as you can replace with PvP Gear in 1 day of PvP.

I got the impression that the pvp gear was kinda crappy and below even tier 1 items.

So you'd recommend the Indomitable warrior set:
+1968 Maximum Hit Points +13 AC
    +492 Recovery
    +2425 Defense
    +1148 Deflection
    Set 2: Equip:+ 400 Defense
Set 4: You have 20% more Guard Meter.

    Over the Valiant Warrior:
    +13 AC
    +1148 Power
    +1148 Recovery
    +1769 Defense
    +492 Deflection
    Set 2: Equip:+ 400 Deflection
Set 4: When you strike a foe you have a 25% chance to reduce their Defense by 450 and increase your own by 450.

I've been looking at the PvP stuff as Turtle gear... nothing struck me as spectacular for dishing out any damage.

The PvP Gear has much more survivability but doesn't matter if you already have the T1 bugged set.

A fresh 60 with just quest items, PvP set is easiest to get.

Thought we were bug free now...

I've had Rogues and GWF's in at least 3 Skirmishes claim my "Bugged" set was why I was crushing them on DPS output...Thought it was cause we were better than them :)

    1) There is no bugged set anymore they fixed it.
    2) Your gear isnt bad and was what I basically used once I hit 60. What you need to get is the Stalwart Bulwark set (T1) that increases power when hit. That is actually the BiS PVE set and is better for PVE than timeless currently.

Your going to want to prioritize for PVE - Armor Pen > Power/Recovery > Everything else. The set bonus of stalwarts and timeless really hands down crush any off set items.

The other thing is that at 60 you need to start getting enchants. Get a lesser plague fire and throw that in your weapon and try tene enchant, they are pretty good for both PVP/PVE (OP if you get enough of them).

The Cat Pet is a must, HUGE boost to DPS.

When geared properly and in most epics, there is no "tank" or "off tank" rolls, its basically jsut a big DPS mash and GFs can be very high on the list. I typically am either 1-2 in DPS in groups with the stalwarts set in T2 epic runs...

PVP gear is a good start, farming PVP win or lose it takes a day to get.

Cheap stuff on the auction House:

Helmet: Shadow Wolf Headpiece (The level 60 version, it's a blue item but has TONS of DPS stats) Take this over the Full helm of the Spider which is purple and just as cheap, but not as good.

Chest: Greywolf Breastplate. Also cheap. Good DPS stats.

Gloves: Icefall Gauntlets. Cheap, good DPS stats.

Boots: Use the PVP boots, if you have a little extra cash laying around move to Valiant Warrior.

Jewelery, start with seal jewelery. Pyrotechnic band is your go to ring. You get this from the first boss in T-2 Red Dragon dungeon. It drops pretty often so save your 100K and just do this over and over. Only problem is just about every class wants this except for clerics, so everyone will roll on it (And it's worth 100K) A good backup ring is the NightWyrm Band, this drops from the first boss in Epic cloak tower. Decked out DPS GF's are starting to use this ring even though it's blue because it's OP with tenebrous. anywhere from 1 to 10 K on AH.

Oh and if you are going to shell out some cash..first purchase: Blue ion stone, the cat costs a lot more. They just about even out on stats and if power tranfering through augment pets is ever fixed, (Right now Power does not carry over from augment pets) the stone will be better than the cat.

Regarding the cat companion, is the panther from the founders pack the same thing?
