How to Add A Boss To My Mission

Hi All

I am after a bit of advice regarding how to add a boss to a foundry mission. I see there are a few likely candidates in the NPC section, but I don't know how to get them to fight, is this possible? If not how do I add a boss like a Bone Golem for example?

Music doesn't work if you use custom trigger points, I have just revised my map and allocated music to each room instead, does anyone know if this works? There must be a way to get music working since I have played a Foundry mission with music before.

    There are no typical boss encounters as seen in the regular game. However, you can take a hard encounter and use it as a boss with reskinning. Many of the hard encounters feature an elite mob in them, so you can have a high hp boss with powerful attacks and some minions. You also have the option of using the solo encounters. THere are a list of them on the forums, if I find them, I'll link you.

    Music is currently borked. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have noticed background music is workable, but if it requires a trigger, it's borked.
    My quest was deleted in July of 2013. There were no issues, it had not violated any rules. Was deemed a bug. That quest is still missing.

    Hi Shorlong, thanks for your help.
    I have found the solo encounters and will add one now. Do I need to take the current quest down before I upload the revised version? Or will the new version overwrite the existing one?

    No, once it's published, just republish and it will overwrite it!

    For convenience when designing bosses, here's a list of the Solo monsters that I'm aware of in the current version of the Foundry, and where you can find them:

    - Shocktroop Devil under Ashmadai encounter groups.
    - Plaguechanged Maw under Abolethic encounter groups.
    - Magma Brute under Fire encounter groups.
    - Hulk under Foulspawn encounter groups.
    - Thoon Hulk under Mind Flayer encounter groups.
    - Savage Ogre under Orc encounter groups.

    I wish they at least would add solo bosses with correct behavior for NPC. For example, a solo boss type Wizard, Cleric, Great Sword Fighter, etc... so that our NPC costumes could be customized...

    For example, it doesn't make sense to have a human NPC dressed as a soldier, turning into a boss encounter "Magma Brute" with the same NPC Costume, suddenly taking some fire boulder out of the ground and throwing it at you... See what I mean?

    It would be nice if the NPC chars could be made to fight, there are some great potential bosses in that list, like Bone Golem for example.

    Anyways, I have added my boss fight and am pretty pleased with the way it turned out, I even managed to get the music working although it does not change with the environments as it should (still better than silence!). I would be grateful if you could all check out my first attempt and get back to me with any constructive comments so that I can improve the quest. Thanks

    I believe in order to qualify for Daily Foundry, you have to have 20 plays (and also rates?) and have an average duration over 15 minutes.
