Plaguefire. I finally got a greater version and felt OP. But then i was just doing the last boss of Spell Plague. Since his debuff icons are bigger than other monsters, i noticed how Plaguefire was not what it seems.

The second and third stack HARDLY stick. infact, the duration is like half a second unless refreshed by one of your attacks.

Now i am wondering if i should ditch it asap before people find out and go for Vorpal.

...but you still feel overpowered right? I mean is it actually adding a lot of damage?

Not really. I think Vorpal beats it. The added damage is neglectable. I always wanted it for the armor debuff which seem to suck now.

    Here's the deal with Plaguefire
It works wonders if you keep hitting the target, thus it's best used on fast non stop hitting (aoe) classes - AKA Guardian debuffing whole enemy group (especially after blackholes)

Rogues scale too well off of Vorpal to go with Plaguefire, and CW end up using too many spells inbetween at wills to keep it up
So obviously Vorpal is way better on CW too

Basically GWF and GF are the only ones that should use PF

Plaguefire is freaking amazing. Even when I'm AOEing huge groups you can see pretty much the entire group burning. Unless you're just knocking them off ledges that translates into a ton of extra damage for you and your group, especially if you do it near the boss.

In PVP it is ridiculously nice as well. RoE and 3 Plaguefire on that cleric in his Astral Shield? He might as well be holding up a paper shield, down he goes.

anyway, 3 stack of greater plaguefire debuff the enemy defense the same amount as 1, there is no -45% enemy defense, only -15%. so long as you keep a stack up the enchant is working fine, extra stacks only work some extra fire damage (which doesn't do much).

How do you know? it says this effect stacks 3 times. And it says it on the end. The fact that you maybe notice (somehow) that it only stacks once is because what i have said.

the UPTIME of this debuff on stack 2 and 3 is not even 0.5 seconds.

The armor debuff % from Plague Fire only stacks once PER PLAYER. If you have 2 players with plaguefire, the armor debuff stacks twice, three players: three times, etc. The stacks that you see on your debuff are the damage over time stacks, as adozu mentioned.
