Party support (Mentoring) is a feature that effectively allows a user to scale their in-game level to emulate as closely as possible a comparable level of a designated member of their team. Typically this is either the highest or lowest level team member, allowing a player of any level to adventure together and enjoy content that may have been previously restricted due to their true level.
As seen in other Cryptic MMOs, this is an excellent social tool as well, as players can form teams with their friends, regardless of level, and explore the lands of Neverwinter together without having to wait for someone to "catch up." With such a system in place, should someone have just levelled beyond entering a dungeon such as the Cloak Tower, and yet not actually done it, they could group with a party who can, match-level and enter, no longer missing out on content.
With regards to how it works, your character's armour, feats and specials would be scaled up or down on a percentile scale based on their new level, however your companion would remain the same. I'm sure you can see what an advantage this would be on a number of levels, and I truly hope to see it in game in some form in the future.
Absolutely! This would be great. Another nice side effect of this would mean we would have access to all of the Skirmish battles outside of level 60. Considering I out-leveled some of these skirmishes so fast that I got 2-3 levels while waiting in queue and never got a chance to see them. Also being able to help friends leveling up would be huge!

Yeah I've been hoping they'd add this for a long time. I was a bit surprised that it wasn't already in the game.

Yes please put this in. It would be really nice to be able to go back and get the achievements for the dungeons I missed leveling up without the dungeon being way too easy. And to be able to do skirmishes I missed since there are no doors for those.

the tech is already in, see CO/STO. otoh the separate dev-teams might as well work in a different company, seeing how they don't communicate AT ALL. so much HAMSTER that has been fixed or already been dealt with only to show up here (best example: negative auctions)

expect the "feature" to appear in 2015
