problems with PVP

in a rush so short post

- the healing potion works in combat so annoying to chase someone down and they get to the healing potion at 10% hp but you know they are gonna heal so much that the fight is heavily in their favor no matter how many hp you have left

- ninja capping is still by far the best way of winning pvp and getting most points, its player VS player why is non fighting the best way of getting points?

- disabling horse in pvp would also help alot as their combat detector does not work very well you can often get on a horse in between 2 at wills and clearly that is not out of combat

Knowing when to retreat and replanish health is part of skill. Can't catch runner? Then you don't deserve the kill.

No, its DOMINATION player vs player. You are being outplayed here.

Time when you get out of combat could get some increase, mounts are fine otherwise.

And this is the part where horses are really fine, so fine that if they have a zen horse, you don’t deserve the kill.

You clearly didn’t pay enough to ride this ride.

If you're chasing a player that runs away your making a mistake, a player who runs away is good as he can't give his team any points while he's running. And ninja caping points is a sure way to get your team to loose. You should be hitting points that you know you can hold. Sometimes it can be used as a distraction, but in moast cases it will only give 2 or 3 points maybe 10 if the other team is really slow at reacting to it. If a full team sits on middle and can't be touched due to having 2 or more Clerics. you should be goin for 1 and 3, instead of 1 and 2 or 3 and 2 as this will force the oposing team to split up. NEVER solo points contested points thats a sure way to be totally waste in the party. There's some strategy that can be used to do this, but that require the whole of your team to be aware that you're doing so. The personal score is a really really bad way of showing your effort. It rewards people who plays stupid and it encourage soloing. Wich is really bad in about 90% of the cases. It took me a whole 1 day to figure out how to maximize points to win the match, but it seems that ALOT of people don't get this. And TR players being the worst representive for screwin up for their own team by a large marginal.

not catching the runner isnt the problem with the potion the fact that if your near it when a fight is happening and dont have a hard CC running to it is only way to stop them and that depends on server collision detection which fails

increasing time to be "out of combat" would be a great fix but obviously wont work as they already have that safegaurd in and it plain breaks allowing you to mount mid combat often.

yes in a good team the random ninja capper will lose every time and ninja capping for a distraction here and there is tactics but most PUG groups are not good teams and most ninja cappers will not fight just run aroudn the map to any empty point and alot of people dont speak same language so communication isnt a solution ...and ya i shouldnt chase them good point there they are gonna be useless got me there

sorry if somethign doesnt make sense haha

pvp??? the good thing about pvp is a way to show abilities or if you're smart to survive. The damage should be reduced "a lot" in pvp. Where's the fun to get killed sometimes with a blink of an eye? With no reaction time... Look at my health and the damage i received today. I know my GS isn't good yet but i could get almost killed two times with that hit.

    This is not right.
Learn how points are scored and with a little thought you can improve your strategy quite a bit.;)

Love the pvp in this game... if your not a TR or a CW GTFO because your just useless.

Saw a DC in pvp today dropped his AS to try and take a point CW comes CCs the DC and kills him within that CC, gg wp lots of 'skill'.

    - Make pvp based on gearscore, someone who just hit 60 cant compete with people who are already on 10k+ gearscore (for example, 5k-7k together, 7k - 9k together, 9k+ together).
    - Some classes *cough* TR & CW *cough* are doing way too much damage (20k+ crits, 13k+ hits). Its nice being on top of the food chain and 1 or 2 hitting other players :')
    - Make people CC immune for 2-3 seconds after the first or second CC... (first if the damage isnt getting adjusted, second if damage in pvp gets tuned down)

Theres so much wrong with pvp right now... just pick one of the 1 mil flaws and start from there.

Anyone else noticed in the pvp shop that the cleric pvp set is the only set without +max health?

ya damage tends to get a little crazy in max level pvp in all games im still hopin that they can fix that one so didnt mention it, definitly see where you are comin from gettin 1 shotted is not fun even if it is a daily (though in your case wasnt even a daily was it?)

making the end game bracket based on gear score would probably help alot assuming they can filter out buffs like the ones gaurdian fighters have, and i would love some sort of anti CC system where aftering gettin CC'd you have reduced disable from it atleast

and assuming im readin the f the bugged quote eating text correctly and you mean the quotes are messin up your post i agree hahah thats why my terrible lookin posts dont have the quotes in them

    I disagree with everything.

Anyone can get the potion so you should be fighting with that in mind. Positioning is always important and the potions play into that. This also plays into "ninja-capping". It's something you need to be aware of and should learn to counter. It's called strategy. Sorry you can't just sit in a ball on 2.
