lost my companion?

Sooo heres the situation...Got my free companion as part of the quest allowing you to do so. When it came to naming the companion I accidently hit cancel and now seems like I have lost the companion inventory thingy! is there any known fix for this?

    Go to your character sheet (C key) and click the "Companions" tab. Is it there?

    Look in your bags for the contract, re-click it :)

    Done both of the above and still no love...will re check though hoping for luck :)
