that's all, don't want to rant about it, I am sure most players know what I am talking about.

    It's my favorite actually. :D

Only zone in the game where I felt like I couldn't just drone through on auto-pilot half-asleep.

The zone is fine. It has one sparkle path leading into walls in the last part, rely less on the sparkle path and have fun. Show your age a little less.

The last part is just a huge PITA, that winding caldera.

Really? You are going to insult me about age? SMH, Did I come here to insult you? Talking about showing your age.

Yeah, I hated it during my first playthrough. It's the first time I couldn't solo everything, and my character was built in a way that made him largely ineffective against the elementals. I hope it's a bit easier this go around.

It's also just sort of a boring story and setting. I like the colorful, beautiful landscapes of the game; not the dilapidated hellscape that in MH. It's pretty ugly. Elementals/Archons don't make good or interesting villains because they just seem like automatons. And it's also another "Dwarfs dug too deep and unleashed something that was never meant to be seen by surface eyes" cliche. Yawn.

I was bummed when I thought it was the last map, and was pretty excited when I found out their was one more after. The drow are awesome enemies.

Going through here for the first time on my Wizard. The mounted boss at the end of the Tiefling quest dungeon was by far the hardest solo encounter I've done so far. Was finally able to take him out once I realized CC actually works on him (is there a way to actually tell which enemies are and aren't CC immune before the fight starts?). I'm curious how other classes with less CC would approach that fight, he dealt a ridiculous amount of damage.

Other than that part it doesn't seem too bad. Spawns are harder to run by without pulling which doesn't bother me in a high level zone. Standing in the fire is much more punishing than it was in previous zones, which still seems fine to me considering how much time you have to get out of the way. It just feels like the game is actually starting to provide some amount of challenge, which I'd hope it would this close to the level cap.

Hated it on my first charcter too, setting ugly, mobs not too difficult, just annoying. On my 2nd character I'm skipping the zone entirely and going from Rothe Valley straight to the Underdark.

My favourite zone is the Neverdeath Graveyard, best storyline, and best solo instance (the clock dungeon). That **** jelly cube was also responsible for the first death of my Wiz!

edit: d-a-m-n is a naughty word now???

I think my favorite zone is The Chasm, but I agree that the Gelatinous Cube encounter was a highlight. I wish there were more mob variety in this game's dungeon crawls.

Ah yeah Graveyard was a well done zone as far as environment etc. Still liked Hotenow for the challenge, Graveyard was too easy in that regard.

It is baffling why someone would create such a thread as this.

    Fire Mountain !

Where else they going to separate the rank 3 mounts from the lower mounts ? Even rank 3 mounts get dismounted there , I cannot imagine bringing a 5 gold mount there . ROFL I might buy one just to try it .

That's because CW is probably the easiest class to solo with. It might be a real pain in the *** with a melee class.

That could very well be the case, I don't have enough experience with the other classes to say. I've got a DC that I'll be leveling next and once I've got enough diamonds to buy more character slots I'll try a GF.
