Quest: Ask Not Whence the Thunder Comes

Quest type: Outdoor epic; Balanced quest with time spent on presentation and balancing story, exploration and combat.
Recommended party size: 1-2 players
Duration: Average play time is 30-40 minutes
Quest Code: NW-DUGJKXYE8

This quest is UNLIKE anything you've seen before! ZERO map transitions. An entire custom built 900 foot Ice Fortress built into the map with every level painstakingly detailed to immerse you into a world of giants! There is something for everyone here:

Combat: Ranging from wildlife to giants you encounter combats that are straightforward and combats that have you on the edge of your seat! Prepare for well planned encounters that will make you sweat!

Exploration: Want to see what's in the outlying areas? Give it a shot, you may find some gems out there! Maybe some lore! (not to mention the 500,000 Astral Diamond worthy easter egg hunt if you've got the itch! See below for details!!!)

Humor: If you are a foundry creator, you can NOT miss the battle of wits with the Juan'Sta troll atop his toll bridge! Its one for the history books.

Story: Continue your trek to enter the Halls of the Forgotten, entry way to hell where Vraylech has taken to gain power once again. Confront the Mad King Fallon!

Environments: You won't believe your eyes as six levels of hand built block by block ice fortress is yours to explore! If you can see it you can go there! From the fourth level enter the battlements and don't forget to look out to see just how high up you've come!

This is one quest you don't want to miss!

    Plenty of fun with humor, lots of exploration rewards and combat. The Easter egg contest only strengthens the must play factor.

    Highly recommended.
    There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.

    Please make this the next foundry spotlight. This is very original and very fun. Completely different then any current foundry quest submitted.

    I'd like to keep this quest bumped to the top if others could help Ell. This is truly the best quest I've played in the foundry so far and I'd love to see it spotlighted. Can we all give his some push!

    I gave this quest and it's predecessor a 3/5, because I thought they suffered from problems in tone--sets that were either too crowded or too sparse, bizarre humor (I'm pretty sure Kammel & Toh and both a juvenile joke and a violation of Terms of Use), and too many over-sized, overpowered enemies that made combat tedious. This is what I got in response. Take from it what you will.

    Uh... while I agree mine is definitely the best lol. Is this supposed to be me saying this? While I do tend to love my own work I don't think I do quite that much. Are you even a reviewer of my quests? Wait a sec, is this Kamiilicious AGAIN>?

    I noticed you didn't catch any account names there, which leads me to believe that this is complete <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>.

    I also want to point out that most of my 5 stars (which is 2/3 of my ratings so far) are mostly how well balanced the fights are yet challenging. I get that a lot of people don't like the fights being a bit harder or lasting a little longer because you'd rather power through them, but I myself prefer the more thought out fights. Besides, I like having the 3 stars, could have been worse and you given a one star! :) (and tbh, 3 stars is a little low for just the combat not being what you like) What about the environments, the look, the quest.

    I realize you didn't post much here, and decided to do this attack on me in the spotlight forum trying to sabotage my chances, but I have a lot of good people that really liked it. I also see that you made sure something was in there about Dungeon Masters... which again leads me to believe you're Wushin or Kamiilicious. Either way, good luck to you.

    (and btw, you not liking the humor is ok with me, but hardly against the terms of service lol)

    I was caught in the middle of a huge Ice Fortress. I looked around and I knew there was no turning back. My mind raced and I thought what could I do? Told that Jaun'Sta, "I don't need no help from you." The sound of drums, beating in my heart. The thunder of giants, yeah I tore them apart. I was shaking at the knees, but then King Fallon, he got thunderstruck by me!

    Kam, this just now hit me after your alt post up there and now this one. Did you seriously think those two trolls were a reference to you due to the K used in Kammel? If so I sincerely do apologize as it was never meant that way. Is that why you've been so aggressive to me?

    Those little guys were never a reference to you in any way so I guess I should explain. Chili always puts a little funny thing like this in his quests, some people catch em, some don't. So I told him, I was putting one in just for him. He has two guys just like this with a different childish humor name :) But the point was, I spell them that way to make the reference obscure. In no way did those relate to you. I can see now that you might have thought that when you first ran it due to the K, but I assure you that was never the case. So again, if you thought this, I'm truly sorry. And in fact, I'll rename them if you really feel that's what it was I was doing.

    I didn't catch in your first post what you were saying I don't pretend to be anyone else. But gotcha. Anyways, my little dudes were never meant as a joke towards you so if that's where this derailed I do apologize. It did upset me that you did post the way you did because I do like the bugs you find!

    Oh, and the reddit thing, that's just stupid. And people are dumb sigh.

    I would also like to submit this for spotlight. A truly unique quest out of foundry and extremely fun. Its definitely an epic!
