I'm an avid pvper and I've played just about every mmo there is to play worth playing. I've also played every class, at one time or another, in those games. I really feel at this time the Trickster Rogues - Dazing Strike needs to be nerfed in duration and or refresh rate. I'm also seeing damage and hit points out of whack in pvp as well. Guardians and Warrior classes have so many hit points some are impossible to kill even 3-4 on 1. I'm playing a Control Wizard at this time, but played as a Guardian in the closed beta and literally cruzed through the quests so easily I got to lvl 26 in a few days. I know coming from Rift the whole game filled up with rogues because they were the obvious favorite of the devs, something I took advantage of myself. Last time I checked Rift was down to half the servers and you couldn't get an event to save your life because there isn't anyone playing it anymore. I realized there is always going to be whining in pvp but it's such an important part of the game for me that if the other team is all one class I'll bail the game because questing full time is for carebears. Anyways just some thoughts...
If you're getting hit by that spell you're doing something wrong. It has a crazy long animation and it's on a long cooldown. If you see a rogue jumping in the air you need to dodge out of the way. Also as a CW you really shouldn't be dying to rogues with the amount of cc you have. Get to 60 and then you'll see that the classes are pretty balanced
Dazing Strike has a 10 second cooldown. That seems fine to me. Especially considering the 20 seconds in takes for Lashing Blade to refresh. Dazing Strike is also incredibly easy to dodge, with it's long wind-up jump animation; so it should definitely inflict a long stun on someone if they manage to get hit by it.
A rich rogue nowadays is fit company for any gentleman; and the world, my dear, hath not such a contempt for roguery as you imagine. - John HAMSTER
Since you're playing a CW it won't be hard to dodge dazing strike. Dazing strike has a 1sec delay b4 it hits u. Note that you can teleport almost instantly and can teleport 3 cosecutive times while rogues only 2. Try to play rogue and when you reach high lvl I am telling you'll get frustrated at fighting wizards if you can't kill them in 1 blow. Wiz will kite u with tele every sec then get stun then deals massive damage like a giant truck falling on you. With that class ur using its nearly impossible to get hit by a dazing strike unless u were stunned by someone.

I can't say I agree with any of this.
- You're a Control Wizard, the class with the most CC in the game, complaining about a mediocre CC ability of another class (yes, mediocre.) You have multiple abilities which offer superior CC effects to Dazing Strike (effects which both silence and root simultaneously, such as Entangling Force, and the "Freeze" effect.)
- Dazing Strike has a long animation time, making it easy to dodge (you can simply step backward, if the Rogue uses it out of stealth); Especially for a Control Wizard, who has more dodges available to them than any other class in the game.
- Dazing Strike is not the most powerful CC in the game. It's not even the most powerful CC at the Rogue's disposal (I would say that both Smoke Bomb and Impact Strike are better, for different reasons.)
- In RIFT, Rogues were not "favored." You must not have been around when Rogues couldn't get spots in raids, because Warriors dealt more damage. Raid leaders would actually allow Warriors to take leather gear over Rogues who needed it, because leather had the best DPS stats on it and the Warriors had the best DPS specs. There was a time when Rogues were essentially treated as second-class citizens within the raid community, because their specs couldn't compete. They were most certainly NOT the most powerful class in the game, far from it.
There are legitimate complaints about Rogues. Both Lashing Strike and Shocking Execution deal too much damage, especially if you are specced for additional crit severity. Stealth can be abused in PvE to solo difficult content which players have no business soloing.
But, to claim that Dazing Strike, an ability many of us don't use anymore in PvP because of its ineffectiveness against competent opponents, is overpowered displays your ignorance of the Rogue class.

You know guys a simple L2play answer would do here... but don't lie to him though and tell him classes are balanced. CW's are probably the most gimp and under powered class in game. I should know, since it's my main. Pug'n on this gimp toon, at the end of most matches I'll end up with a measly 20-30 kills in the victory. Where as when you look at other toons like the GWF. They run at you with their red swollen long shafted libido and I can only dodge away 3 times while he tries to blow everything all over me. I mean come on....me thinks CW need buff, gwf nerf.. plz kthnxbye
Just finished a PvP game, I got a few blue but mostly green gear and the purple delzoun dagger.
I thought I would defend the spire against one GF, I got him dazed and even got a bleed effect in.
I think he just shrugged, because all else I saw was me flying in the air and if I would like to call for help because I died.
That's pretty strong. When another TR got him from behind though... I'd say that even outs nicely.
But that DC stacking Astral Shield thing, that has to go. Two clerics just standing in that happy place, I managed to get to 4 stacks of bleed into one of them before I just quit and went looking for something that would actually take some form of damage when I hit them like a boss.
CW has ridiculous CC and can dodge three times. Their range is also insanity. If it weren't for impossible to catch I'd go on the CW forum and rant about it.
