As topic asks, is this possible? Or is it only possible when online? Was just curious, thanks.

Is logging in via the Gateway considered to be "online" or are you still officially "offline"? This is the only thing that occurs to me. Mind, I'm barely semi-literate at computers (games, email and, on a good day, the occasional document ;) ) so that qualifies as a SWAG.

I'm sorry but not comprehending on what you mean by "gateway."

When I'm playing the game online and my friends come online I can see he/shes level. When they go offline I can't view any of their stats or equipment to see if they have a certain item or not if I obtain it. Would be cool if possible, or am I missing something?

oh he's referring to being able to see character information (such as current level) through friend list or guild roster to stay on par with their level so as not to out level or be under their level. staying in the same range as your friends easier.
If you can't be constructive in your criticism, go back to world-of-whiners.

    This.

I don't want to out level any of my friends and continue playing with those certain ones.

AHHH! A light has dawned! My apologies I misread/misunderstood your question.

And the Gateway is an app for a mobile "smart" device that you can use to go into NW without actually going into the full game that allows you do certain things, like crafting, AHing, etc. Now, me, I can barely keep up with my "stupid" mobile phone! :D

Gateway.playneverwinter.com is a PWE/Cryptic website that allows you to access all of your characters professions. You are able to gain Player Experience via Leadership task. So you can level and not really play the game (this will take a very long time, btw.)
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

I'm assuming you would have to be in a guild to obtain this? Currently their is only us three that are playing. We unfortunately don't have five people to create a guild at this moment if so.
