Sup guys,

Well as the title says it, is it possible to disable it during a Dungeon or Party. I have been kicked multiple times now for getting a loot or just because they like to troll.. I'm trying to get better gears and Seals of the Drake now all week long but there is no way to get it because people keep kicking for the most HAMSTER reasons.. It's only possible to play with 5 people you play with al day.. And since i only play with a buddy of mine i guess this way we will never get better gear items. And i'm not the only one that thinks this way about the outrage of kicking people. I hope you can do something about it very soon!.

yes and no, I like being able to kick bots and ninjas.

It's a give and take sort of thing.

If they could do that, they could ban the bots automatically.

Only way to get good PvP match is to kick 1-3 players out at the start, some are known bots, others are bugged. If both teams do that,, there is a decent chance to get 5vs5 game. You only need to recognize the better bots and kick them, good thing I have some handles on my blacklist and kick them every time I can...

I would prefer a voting system for kicking people out of dungeon, skirmish, pvp and other events.

Good point, maybe mark bots with an icon behind their names.. Also, we thought about a vote system instead of kick.. Maybe that works better than just disabled it completely.

Vote would work best in dungeons. PvP is sadly so full of bots and afkers, that votes would often fail, or at least take too long so the match would start before all votes were done.

Although at least one player uses a bot that is almost better than some players are... It moves to center flag and attacks anything that comes near. But behavior is clearly AI like, always just basic at will attacks, moves to same spot every time, and does not respond to chat. Also stands next to fight if it is just far enough, and on the other hand attacks middle flag immediately after it respawns, alone, no matter how many enemies are there. Respectable coding, but I'd still prefer real team mates... ;)

this is exactly why i was against the devs. implementing this system! the only thing you can do is what i do when i can.

that is report the group leader for griefing other players. eventually he'll get banned after several times. i write down names of those in every group i'm in and if the leader kicks me and i don't agree with why. than bam he gets reported for griefing period.

one solution tho could be that everyone and mean everyone that plays report all group leaders that kick anyone regardless of the reason
for griefing other players. that why when people start getting banned left and right. the devs may see this as a bad mistake and pout in a new system that doesn't promote this type of behavior.

you probably got kick because you needed on things not for your class as so many do in this game... there needs to be something done about this.

I for one support the kick option, and usually agree with the Lead when they kick. But I can see how it could be abused.

As for PVP I'm tired of people kicking everyone out but themselves at 15 seconds left. We win the freakin match for them and Bam... no glory.

Never seen that happen, but I tend to be fast to get lead anyway, just in case...

Serious abuse though, and I too would report anyone doing that. Anyway, PvP is unplayable under lv60 without fast kicking at the start. They should really do a bit more for that botting and afking first.

Not really, only take loot that i can use.. Don't see the point of taking something that is useless for me.

it's unfortunate but there are still trolls here you really just gotta suck it up and hope for the best. A vote system for dungeons would be nice though but i agree it wouldn't work in PVP when you have multiple afk/bots

In PVE groups, the kick is necessary to get the right classes ... Since kick is bugged and prevent the person from joining an instance through Q its pretty annoying. I have run many instances and never saw any one being kicked past the entrance. Since its a death sentence to the run, the person doing so must have had a plan on bailing all along, but its not common. Lets not punish people for players with bad intents.

In PVP, kick is the only way to have decent matches at the current state of the Qs. I use kick liberally to make sure we get a 5 man team. People dont complain and most of the time ask for it. I also often kick players that give up or afk. Those players need an attitude adjustment and it seem to be working. People that really have to AFK, will understand that one cannot detect the motive, but the result is the same. I dont have to kick people often since the Q process is bugged and that make our team win the close games most of the times.

A little comment here, i dont know how leaders are decided but i end up being leader in PVP over 90% of the times. The fact that i do get selected seem there is an algorythm of leader selection and it can possibly by biased to make sure bots/afkers dont get selected (my guess is its already the case, It is most likely based on some ratio of wins/glory gained by match). Afkers do get huge amount of glory but they get ****ty glory by match amount since the match that are not much contested do not give much glory.

So my understanding is leaders in PVP and in PVE should be selected in the track record of a player to complete instances/get close matches (scores that are close to even) in PVP.

Had a guy in team who needed items for other classes. He did 1 time, then a 2nd time. I kicked him. I like this option sometimes ... :D

How about the 4 HAMSTER that run to the closest cap with no action and leave the cleric going to the center to die ? (The zone bug doesn't help tho)The way to solve that is resolve in party chat or voice chat that you'd like 4 to mid and 1 to roam or whatever strat works for you rather than assume all are bots.2) you have to take some time to fiddle with the UI to get your chat to work properly. A lot of people may not be that interested in what you have to say in chat in a pvp match or not know how to setup their UI. I made up several tabs for different reasons. a general log, a combat log, a party only chat, a guild chat and the default with my zone spam. This way I can track my combat logs, sensible party/guild chat or just watch the trolls in zone chat for entertainment.

Party leader should be able to kick in pvp but no one should be able to kick anyone in pve.

In theory, a votekick option would be better. In practice, it's pretty much the same, since anyone has the power to initiate a vote.
It's not going to stop fighters from getting kicked from epics. It's not going to stop bots in pvp. It won't do anything against AFKers.

It will hinder griefing party leads a bit, but we're not talking anything big. We're talking 10% of the time or less, Votekick will keep someone in the party who deserves to be there. Why is it not effective? Instead of having to worry about 1 random guy of the group being a jerk, you now have to worry that any one of the 4 could be a jerk and vote you out. You will still get kicked out of parties for seemingly no reason. And, it will happen exactly as fast as it happens now. People do not wait to vote in a votekick system. That button pops up, they're ON IT. In a heartbeat. It's a PUG thing. People will vote you out the second that vote comes up because it's interrupting their playtime and they really don't care one way or the other. Sorry. You lose.

I can see the appeal of a votekick. But it's honestly no different, beyond that 5% of the time where you happen into a PUG of intelligent, logical people who will want to know WHY this vote is presented before they vote.

And yes. People DO need to be able to be kicked from the group. Although if there's some bug that's making it so kicked people can't requeue, that needs to be fixed.

Well ye, you guys have some good points.. Still, 40 min for a queue and then getting kicked as soon you only see your loading screen for the dungeon.. It change back to the main loading screen of town and you know you're got kicked and can wait another 40 min.

Something really needs to be done about this. I queued for PvP 6 times last night. I either didnt get ported in because of the bug that or when I did finally get it I got kicked by the leader because he was a GF and so was I. Really crappy system. Voting needs to implemented asap. Its almost impossible for me to get the PvP daily done. Id almost consider this game breaking.

I kinda of agree with this thread...though with a slight modification. Don't give party leaders the ability to kick people who are still loading. I've been kicked from PVP when I was still loading, and some other stuff.

I was running a dungeon with 2 other guildies last night when one of the two randoms ninja'd a purple. S/he didn't respond to us when was asked for the situation to be rectified, so we stopped progressing with the two randoms and held back. The party leader happened to be the second random, and s/he refused to kick the loot ninja, so we left. It was satisfying, but it would have been better if the ninja had been kicked. I think it's important to keep the ability to kick around for such cases.

IF you fix the dungeon queue so you don't end up with four rogues and a GWF sure. Until that day, please for the love of god do not take away my ability to kick half the team so there's an actual chance in hell that we finish the dungeon.

Also, you need to fix the loot system as well. Then we can all live in harmony. Until then, KICK!

Yeah I had this happen in PvP when testing how the changes affected my cleric in PvP. Only times I got in were when I or another cleric had lead. I would load in and have the message that I was no longer in the party. Kicking players who are still loading is pretty bad other then that just make kicking disabled once the final boss fights have started in dungeons and keep it disabled until everyone leaves the instance or wipes to the boss.

Keep it in pvp, its the only way to prevent an uneven match when someone dc's before the match starts.

A vote-to-kick system would cut down on this a lot while still allowing kicks when absolutely necessary (e.g. a single player is ruining it for everyone else).

The Need/Greed system is HAMSTER in this game. I've yet to see a pug where ANYBODY does something but NEED when they can press the button. It seems like the normal thing to do in Neverwinter, especially since many runs are the usual "queue" type, i.e. "gogogogogo" without any communication or stops, so people just Need whenever possible. I've also yet to see anybody say something against this. So now I'm doing the same. If the item's blue quality+, and I can Need, then I'll Need without even looking at the properties when not hidden, then put it on the AH.
Coming from WoW, I was very surprised to see this system. There are ninjas there too, but needing on everything is not a practice accepted by any groups or raids.

I like the option of voting to kick someone, such as the party leader going afk after the first wipe.

Another thing I hate with a passion is combat looting, it is REALLY annoying when you are trying to avoid spells and ground effects and your screen is filled with loot needed to get decided on, I always roll need on that, no matter what it is, simply to get the roll window so I can concentrate on the fight.

So an option to disable looting while in combat would be nice.
Another to fix the kick/enable vote option would also be a step in the right direction.
