I don't play a GWF but the last thing they needed was a nerf.

When is the FPS tanking lacking of optimization patch coming?


In case you aren't effected by this particular gem of code basically doing dungeons becomes ny-impossible because throughout the dungeon your FPS will tank down to 1-2 for long periods of time (sometimes in excess of 5 minutes). While this doesn't seem to happen during the last boss on any dungeon, when your party reviews damage done and sees yours is low because you couldn't participate in half of the trash packs it's hard to keep your spot in a progressive party.

    really? Fixing a invulnerability exploit is a nerf?

    another patch filled with fixes.. oh no wait. :(

    Developing team is i think 1 guy.

    lol, only a complete bad thinks that GWF were over-powered in any sense of the word. At least a broken mechanic kept them relevant. Why not throw them some buffs? I'm not complaining, the only 60 I have is a TR so by all means, more HK for me.

    They're not terrible in PVP. I constantly get 1st place as a GWF and a 10k gearscore.

    not that I want to say that u'r bad... but do u know that the best way to get 1st place in PVP is to just cap point and not to kill? every point u assist to capture is 300, every kill your party make is 25 (no matter where u are u take the contribution for every kill...)

    so just running around capping and than running away letting the enemy recap the ob will give u as much point as 6 kill or 12 partecipation... ^^' also u'r not simply waisting one slot in your group because by capping the point behind the enemy's back u force them to move 1 or more player from the frontline to recap the obj so your actualy also plaing a strategic role ^^' and this can be done with EVERY class... well... TR do it a little better since they have some additional tool to escape and get past the enemy unnoticed... but that is not unbalancing at all ^^

    Uh... duh. I guess I should have added, I usually have the most kills as well.

    Uh, I guess you don't PvP much cause that is not necessarily true. You can spend your whole match only capping and you will still be right at the bottom. Only capping doesn't do sh*t, you have to actually contribute to the "war" and leave some dead bodies behind. :)

    emmm sorry but when i play my GF (ok recently I only log him for the dailys...) I just run around as a point capper... and end up within the top 3 on almost all PVP match ^^' even those that we loose ^^ so.. NO u don't NEED to kill in order to get point...

    also... u can just take a look at the end table of a match where an AFK was in and not got kicked... u will see that he got all the contribution and 25point for each of them even if he just was walking inside the spawn point... ^^

    Ok we must be misunderstanding each other. I am talking about TOTAL top score, and I think you are talking about team top score. I too have had matches where all I have done was run around and cap, not even kill a single player nor get an assist. I was in the bottom of every one. :) I don't know why it would be different for you.

    why is it working differently for us... don't know... but... after looking at all the bug and exploit... for all that i know I could be exploiting without even realizing it ^^'

    I honestly have no idea, I have never run into this situation yet. But I will be glade to give it another shot sometime today, who knows maybe they did change something in a previous patch.

    I'll try to have a few obj run tonight (if my guild don't call me for my CW ^^' ) and take some screen so that we can have some actual data to compare ^^

    Ok I just did a PvP run and it is as I said. I only capped and did not do ANY damage AT ALL, to anyone. I was at the bottom. BUT, what I did find was I gained assists for no reason. Very strange.

    I Fraps'd the match, and as you can see I never touched a single person, nor did any damage to anyone. I made sure to avoid every enemy and yet I was awarded assists? I was always under the impression that you had to do some damage to any enemy and if that enemy got away from you and someone else killed him, then you would be awarded an assist. Clearly after this little test it does not work that way in NWO. And that is why I was not at the very bottom. I think we just discovered another PvP bug. :(

    Even if they have permanent invulnerability they will still get instantly kicked from groups because they are totally useless.
