The system is called "Need before Greed"

Last I checked, a cleric would/could never need something they cannot use.

    Thanks for trying though

They have acknowledged the issue. You have acknowledged the inability to have patience.

They will correct said issue. Will you acknowledge patience?

i feel like most people would.

Thing is.......how hard is it to just do a simple patch that keeps classes from rolling on gear they can't use? That's what I personally don't get.

Little things that cause big problems...why they no get patch?

well, far as I know the system is priority, not mandatory, so cleric could "need" things they can't use. would you do it or its your choice, beside if somebody "need" that thing it doesn't means it will go directly to him/her right, it still a chance, it can go anywhere

Your grasp on the english language does horrible things to my brain.

To need something would mean that you intend to use it. If you cannot even use it, you cannot possibly need it. Its common sense. Do deaf people need headphones? Do paraplegics need ski's?

Amen to that. What the hell did he say!?
And totally agree, loot system is worthless, I don't even bother running dungeons, as its faster to PVP for honor, buy pvp gear and resell on Auction house, then buy gear I need with the resulting profit. I don't have to spend grueling hours in dungeons wasting health potions and injury kits and furthering my carpel-tunnel just to see all the loot go to needy-mc-need.

hmm always can send it his/her other char, i did some low lvl dungeons with my lvl60 to get items for my rogue
get some items for my rogue from T2 too on my cleric, but i play with same ppl so no problems

only hope they make items account bound and not character
now i like that it doesnt matter which class i play and i can still gear up my other classes

When are folks going to learn to read the dev tracker?

Easier to whine I guess.
    Hey All,

We're aware of the current limitations of the party loot system and have some updates in the works. I don't know the precise details, but I do know that it's on the list of short term action items. At the same time, making friends and grouping with people you know, work well with, and trust, is the best way to ensure that you have an enjoyable group experience. Automated systems can only go so far when it comes to mandating that people treat each other with respect.

    Thanks!

Need and want are often confused. Truth is no one needs anything in this game. Air, water, food these thing are needs. Pixelated bits of code. Not so much.

But this is only the true beginning of the philosophy and enlightenment so lets dig deep. Lets say for argument sake the thing you see moving around on your screen is real. And it has to fight off all these monsters to survive. Now the cleric may view that class specific loot as "Cool, I can sell that because I need Astral Diamonds." or "I need that on my alt" or "I need that to trash loot for its gold value."

Or better yet maybe just wait for the change to come in for class specific loot options.

They get angry when people use facts and logic to disrupt their ranting....and anyone who disagrees with them is a fanboi who camps the forums, standard fair for bridge dwellers.

It's amazing that in 2013 the developers have seemed to learn nothing from all the MMOs that have come before.
I'm stunned by the fact that classes can roll "need" on loot they can't use at all.

It should have been done properly a long time ago.

Winning by Need should bound the equipment, period.

So you play the E-Peen portion of the game only? Not an RPG player I see, I play the game the other way. PvE and forget the PvP.

    1) Looting method can only be changed in the 5 first minutes of dungeons.
    2) Epic rolls disable window shortcut Shift+1 (you need to click Need)
    3) New looting method Bound on Need:
    a) Only can Need on equipable items.
    b) Winning by Need bound the equipment.

    Bye bye, ninja looters.
