So as a GWF I have 35% damage reduction, and in unstoppable 50% damage resistance is added, This should equal 85% damage reduction.
worst case scenario, it's 50% reduction of the remaining damage (65%) so -32.5%. this is 67.5% damage reduction
and with a constitution of 25 that's 15% resistance to armor penetration.
You can't even get armor penetration up to 15%, So, how the hell are these rogues hitting me for 22,000. That's not even with a wizard's debuff. What. The. F.
This brings up another question, why are rogue daggers almost the same damage as a 2h sword?
Also, with Student of the Sword and plague fire, these rogues are at -60% defense yet I can barely hit them for 8k on a crit with Indomitable Battle Strike at 90% severity and 4200 power.
How does a 100 pound chunk of steel deal less damage than a screwdriver?
I realize a game doesn't follow realistic physics but... this defies fantasy physics even more.
Resistance Ignored doesn't mean you Resist Penetration. It means your attacks ignore resistance.
IE: Your constitution is giving you armor penetration. But I'm under the impression it's actually not working at the moment. I seem to recall reading that it's bugged here on the forums somewhere...
As to their defenses, I couldn't say for certain. Are they Deflecting you?
As a wizard, I've tried to Iceknife an unstoppable warrior at 60, when my knifes are doing 15k+, and ended up hitting the warrior for under 3200.
When are these 22000 hits coming? When you're low on health? It might be the rogue daily that deals overkill damage depending on how much health the target has.
cause the game isnt balanced. They arent even going to start working on balance till all the bugs and exploits are fixed. that or release more companions
It's called shocking execution and it is a daily that ignores defense, also its damage scales with how much hp the target has remaining. I also don't understand what you mean by rogue daggers having same damage as greatswords.
I think he's talking about how the weapons have approximately the same weapon damage as GWF weapons. I know they're comparable at early levels. Not sure about at 60, haven't checked.
This is one of the reasons that early-game as a rogue is so incredibly faceroll while gwf is harder, because rogues get, essentially, double weapon damage factored in to their scaling, where GWFs don't.
Example: Rogue equips a level 2 knife that's 11-22, then another that's 11-22. Total damage 22-44.
GWF equips a level 2 sword that's 11-22. Total damage 11-22.
We have alot of counters, like after every crit we do a 30% crit severity dmg. Our daily has 23 000 power + the amount of your missing hp, now calculate... I go stealth and start throwing daggers until i get crit, then i launch my daily and it does 23,000 power + missing hp + all my stealth first hit bonuses + my 3500 power stat +15% bonus damage from my STR stat. Maximum damage i did to gwf was 49,000 when he was 50%hp. But i sacrifice survivability, and stealth cooldowns and etc. Anyway i tried to go stealth build in the beginning but figured out that stealth is just not working. For example if i am going stealth and mage casts some kind of debuff on me at the same time, he can see me and he can disable me till the rest of my stealth, when im close to enemies they can see me as well, so why the **** do i need to go stealth mode and do 2 000 damage when i can go full damage mode with same "not working" stealth and do 10,000-20,000 damage with my encounter and up to 49,000 with my daily ?
You might say Rogues are OP, they are not. Mages are very strong too. I agree that GWF sucks hard in this game, i dont remember when i had at least one problem with GWF, they are useless tons of ****. So if devs will fix GWF and make them hit as they suppose to hit, for example like in Lineage2, when gwf goes 30%hp he can use op abilities and start killing everyone with 1 shot.
Also i think Rogues and Mages are OP only because there is no counter to them, as soon as they will add Rangers, both rogues and mages will have to change their build into semi defensive or they will die like rats Of course Rangers should deal high amount of damage in order to counter full dps rogues and mages.

ok, who will the 1st one to die, the rouge with screwdriver that can hit you 10 times per second, or the GWF who bring a 100 pound chunk of steel?

What is the swing timer of a TR vs a GWF?

I must be seeing the higher tier daggers compared to my pvp greatsword.
A daily that ignore defense completely makes sense.
My pathetic damage was not deflected. so I'm still confused about this.
They are close, rogue is a little faster it seems. Assuming the damage floaters are correct.

Implying a screwdiver could pierce a 100 pound chunk of steel. =p
