sign, post in this thread, please help to get someones attention. Enough is enough we need a trade channel, in fact a looking for group channel would be good also.

I'm not a computer programmer but I know for a fact that it would not be difficult for them to add a trade and looking for group channel

99% of mmo have them, no one is going to accuse cryptic of ripping of other games "chat system" by adding them, these channels would ENHANCE the customers exp, giving them another way to communicate to sell and trade and find groups

the more people talk to each other the more friends they make, the more fun they have, the more likely they would be willing to spend cash to buy zen and tell their real life friends hey this is a good game.

Enough is enough, we need a TRADE channel

There's an Auction NPC for a reason. They've given it more attention than any other exploit in the game. Use it.

AH? It doesn't work properly. And even if it did - sorting options are awful. And only 400 items shown. And you cant TRADE your stuff there (WTT Miracle Healer's Helm for Shadow Weaver Helm, for example).

Works for me and my fellows, granted sorting doesn't work, but we are literate enough to make due. We've geared up what the PVP gear couldn't provide... hence why we auto ignore item spammers in public chat.

Pro Tip: Use the search function by typing the partial name of item you're looking for, set the rarity (many people forget this), and then click on type of item. The item levels may not be working in game but you can use the Gateway, which will. The 400 item limit is good for keeping items priced within range. You're not going to pay for an over priced item past the 400 item limit anyways.

I do agree that there should be a Trade channel, but even with a trade channel, there will be some that will spam zone chat with their wares anyways. Players can create custom or private channels but it's not likely that many people would join since it is controlled by the player that created it and can be abused.

I myself am not big on the swap meet that is the trade channel...

BUT FOR FFS!!! get it done and make an official channel so the many many many people that WANT to use it, can. Its a huge deal for a lot of people. This is a modern MMO that for all real seriousness, and reasons pertaining to the way the AH works, and the varying kinds of currency should have never been released without one. There is no excuse for it to not have been done over a month later. Its not a radical game redesign, its a chat channel.

I'd be happy for a trade channel just to get the trade spam off the zone chat. No one can get a question answered between all the WTS spam.

I know how to use sorting, thank you.

If Trade and LFG channels existed, I'd turn off Zone chat forever and be truly happy.

Trade Channels never work. Sellers will always go where the most customers are. You can't change that.

You must work for Cryptic management I assume.

They work in WoW and every other mmo, and there are other reasons to have trade, lfg, etc. chanells beside the obvious one that people are trying to sell and trade.

The zone chat is overcrowded with people selling/buying, looking for a guild, looking for a group or who simply want to shoot the @#$#@ with other people.

By having other chat channels a percentage of people will use them, thus spreading out the chatter. Will 100% of people buying and selling use the trade channel, the answer is no. But 100% of people do not use the auction house, by your logic it should be removed from the game.

Signed we need a lfg channel and a trade channel if for no other reason than to limit the spam in zone chat in prot enclave. I dont trade or lfg so no skin in the game but it should just be included the only reason not to have a trade channel is to force the use of ah and AD as currency for pay to win corporate reasons.

They could make the channels and disallow LFG, WTS WTT and so on, from the zone channel. If someone use zone to trade/sell/lfg add them to your ignore list.

It's absolutely HAMSTER. Buying in bulk is almost always cheaper but you might never see those stacks because of hundreds of smaller auctions.

My problem with AH is that if I don't know the name of the item I'm looking for, it sometimes doesn't show up even if every other criteria I put in is right. I can put the right level, the right enchantments, the right weapon type, etc. but it won't show up. Then I type in the game, and boom there it is.

So, how am I suppose to just browse for good items? AH almost seems like it's just designed to get items you see other people wearing after inspecting their character. :/

What if someone needs gold for an item?

What if someone doesnt want to give the AH a 10% cut?

What if the AH is down?

I'm all in favour of a Trade Channel, and even more so in that, unlike other games, anyone thereafter posting a Trade in the general chat window can be /reported and muted. Win/Win
